SEPTEMBER BEAUTY FAVOURITES

My love for the season has definitely translated into my September Beauty Favourites! Last month my favourite products were rich and earthtoned across the board. I’m sure I’m not the only one who can’t wait for fall to roll around so I can incorporate some deeper, richer hues into my beauty routine — give me all the autumnal reds, berries, browns and golds, please!

I discovered some luxurious, comfortable lipsticks in on-trend shades for fall 2016, a stunning duochrome eyeshadow that’s one of the most unique shades I’ve ever worn, used some of my favourite lip liners all over my lips as matte lipsticks, rekindled my love for Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors and totally used up my favourite Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. There’s just something about spring that makes me really want to experiment in the beauty department! After our long, dreary (and extremely colourless) winters here in Calgary I feel so energized and inspired by the fresh beauty of spring. It’s a time where I try a lot of new products and discover new beauty favourites. So today’s post is something a little different — I’m sharing my favourite 5 Unconventional Spring Lip Colours! Pink and peach are great standbys, but this post is all about trying something totally outside of your comfort zone. I like to keep up with what’s going on in both fashion and beauty, so today’s picks combine a bit of runway inspiration with spring beauty trends. I love affordable beauty products and am always on the hunt for the next drugstore gem — each of my recommendations today is under $20! MARCH BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Welcome back, beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my March Beauty Favourites — where I gravitated towards cooler, purple tones on the eyes, pastel nails, luminous skin and peachy lips. Inside, you’ll find a stunning eyeshadow palette that’s especially flattering on green eyes, a great serum foundation for under $20, a blush that gives you a pretty spring flush, a natural looking, luminous bronzer, my favourite periwinkle nail polish and a pretty, cool-toned rose gold eyeliner.

I also chat a bit about gel polish at home (hey — I like to DIY it when I can!) and colour theory in beauty. If you didn’t know, I went to art school so that definitely translates into my beauty obsession — to me, makeup is an art form and just another way to express myself. I also mention my favourite peach lip, which has been on major repeat this month and I think would suit just about anyone. I couldn’t be happier that spring is officially here, so today I’m sharing my top 10 spring style staples and beauty tips! Year after year, there are a few pieces and colours I always look forward to incorporating in my spring wardrobe and beauty routine. While styles change and we see updated versions of key items each season, my quintessential spring style and beauty staples are actually pretty consistent. That said, spring is also a time where I feel super inspired to branch out and try new things, and that definitely filters through into my personal style! 5 ROMANTIC PINK LIPSTICKS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Okay, I think I have a bit of a pink problem! I promise this will be the last pink-themed blog post you’ll see (for awhile, anyway!). Today I’m sharing my favourite, romantic pink lipsticks for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been obsessed with pink in all forms lately, but I love pink lips at this time of year — they can be soft and sweet, or totally bold and daring, depending on the shade you choose! I’m crazy about the look of a bold pink lip with a simple, winged, lashy eye — I think it’s romantic and flirty. I truly feel beautiful and feminine in each of these shades! 2015 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

If you read any of my beauty posts, read this one! Today I’m rounding up all my 2015 beauty favourites in one post. If you’ve been with me for awhile, you know I absolutely love makeup, playing with beauty products, and experimenting with different looks. Over the years I’ve tried pretty much everything — and I’m definitely very particular when it comes to what I use and like. These are the absolute best, cream-of-the-crop products that I think can work for anyone! I continue to use and recommend these products again and again — not only for myself, but for family and friends of all ages, ethnicities and skintones.

BEST IN BEAUTY | SEPTEMBER 2015

I absolutely love fall makeup, and transitioning into darker, richer shades. Fall colours are my favourite to wear! During September I rediscovered my favourite powder eyeshadows from Makeup Geek (who makes the best quality eyeshadows at any price point, but these just happen to be $6 each!). I picked up some new goodies from e.l.f. Cosmetics (another inexpensive brand with awesome products) and found a holy grail setting powder and some beautiful berry-toned blushes. I also found the perfect daytime berry lip. Let’s chat about fall beauty products!
