COLOURPOP SUPER SHOCK SHADOW PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES | 22 SHADES!

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve published a dedicated beauty review, but this is one has been on my list for the better part of 2017! Today I’m thrilled to share a comprehensive review of one of my all time favourite eyeshadow formulas — the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows. I fell head over heels for Colourpop in 2015 (just browse the JustineCelina BEAUTY archives!), went absolutely crazy and purchased about a million of their eyeshadows (and lip products, and highlighters, and… well, you get the idea!). Since then, this innovative, affordable LA based brand has exploded and now offers 90 Super Shock Shadow shades (and trust me, I’ve had to restrain myself from buying almost every single one!). I’ve owned many of their Super Shock Shadows since 2015 — some of which I’ve completely used up (and had to repurchase) and some that are now discontinued. So today, I’m sharing reviews, photos and swatches of the 22 shades I own that are currently available!

Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadows retail at $5.00 USD for 2.1g (0.074oz) and the quality is truly incomparable to anything on the market today. In 2015 when they first launched, the formula was completely revolutionary — a creme-powder with a unique bouncy texture. The pigmentation is intense, the shades are unique and they wear all day (and night) without fading or creasing. They’re also cruelty free and handmade in LA. I haven’t actually published reviews on most of my favourite shades here at JustineCelina because they don’t really fall into my Monthly Favourites category (since they’re staples I reach for regularly, sometimes products like this slip through the cracks!), so I figured it was about time to introduce you. COLOURPOP CRÈME GEL LINER PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES

Today I’m reviewing the 9 shades I own from the Colourpop Crème Gel Liner range. Currently there are 25 shades available, and I decided to pick up 9 to try out — 4 metallic shades and 5 mattes. Colourpop’s Crème Gel Liners retail at $5.00 USD for 0.01 oz., just a fraction of the cost of their high-end counterparts. As makeup-loving contact wearer with extremely sensitive eyes, I think I’m the perfect candidate to test out eyeliner! I’ve been wearing and testing them for about 4 months (since they first launched the product!) so I have a really good handle on them. If you’re looking for a great alternative to higher-end eyeliners, or want to learn more about eyeliner in general, this post is for you! Today I’m chatting about my latest beauty obsession — the new Ultra Matte Lips from Colourpop! Currently there are 33 shades available, and I decided to pick up 10 from the range to try out. Colourpop’s Ultra Matte Lips retail at $6.00 USD for 0.11 oz., just a fraction of the cost of their high-end counterparts. Lately, it seems like every brand is coming out with their version of a liquid lipstick, and I’m generally a fan of liquid lipstick formulas — they dry to a flat matte finish and are super long wearing. BEST IN BEAUTY | OCTOBER 2015

October was truly a high-low month for beauty favourites! When it comes to beauty products (or anything, really) I don’t discriminate based on price — some $2 products work better than $100 products. Well, this month, I’ve been loving $2 lip liners, $3 cream eyeshadows, $3 nailpolish, a $4 dry shampoo, and a $95 face palette! So when I recommend a product, know that it’s not just good for the price — it’s just good, period!

MY TOP 5 PUMPKIN SPICE LIPSTICKS

Fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons — but something I look forward to each year is pulling out all my favourite warm, cozy lip colours (and trying a few new ones!) to mark the change in seasons. Last autumn as I was organizing my vanity for the season, I noticed a major theme — all of my most-worn autumn lip colours had a very similar, pumpkin spice inspired colour story (yes, I actually began working on My Top 5 Pumpkin Spice Lipsticks post last fall!). Although I may be the only woman on the planet who isn’t into Pumpkin Spice Lattes (shocking, I know!), I can definitely appreciate the inspiration behind this quintessentially autumnal beverage. MY TOP 5 ROSE TONED LIPSTICKS

With the promise of spring dancing on the warm Chinook breeze, I find myself looking to refresh my BEAUTY routine to reflect the transitioning seasons.
