AUTUMN / WINTER 2017 TREND GUIDE | FALLING FOR FLORALS

Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for my third AW17 TREND GUIDE and final set of photos we shot in the Alberta Badlands — this time, at dusk! Tonight I’m thrilled to share a bit of an edgier look than you’re typically used to seeing here at JustineCeina, but as I mentioned, I’ve been totally reinspired fashion wise this autumn and really experimenting with my personal style (and having tons of fun in the process!). It was also a lot of fun to experiment with different lighting conditions — since we shot this look in the last 15 minutes before the sunset, these photos have a bit of a moodier vibe to them. I think it suits the outfit perfectly!

Tonight I’m Falling for Florals all over again and styling a selection of seasonal trends through fresh eyes — including autumn / winter florals, soft leather, velvet, faux fur, circular shades and red. If you’re looking to elevate your personal style or refresh some wardrobe staples as we transition into winter, this post is for you! Who else is totally pumpkin obsessed? With the height of pumpkin season upon us, I’m excited to bring you a roundup of 5 Plant Based Pumpkin Recipes to Try This Fall! Each October here at JustineCelina, my pumpkin recipes begin trending — so I thought it was the perfect time to round them all up in one post for easy browsing reference (complete with a Pinterest friendly graphic!). This year our Country Garden produced a whopping 55 pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and varieties — and you can bet I’ve been cooking, baking and recipe making with the abundance. Autumn is definitely approaching here on the Alberta prairies! The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping and I find myself craving all things warm, cozy and comforting. This transitional time of year is also my favourite for gorgeous, seasonal produce — and I’ve spent the past couple of weeks pouring over my RECIPE archives, adding our most loved fall recipes to the menu! CASUAL FALL STYLE STAPLES

Fall fashion lovers, welcome back for a fresh instalment in my STYLE STAPLES series — this time, highlighting the more casual side of my personal style! We enjoyed this past Thanksgiving weekend completely unplugged in the country — and although I was device free, I brought my professional camera along. I actually had no intention of capturing style content last weekend, but rather, was hoping for some nice family photos since it had been forever since we’d taken some (we’re talking 5+ years!). Adam isn’t really into being in front of the camera too often — so when he agreed to sneak in a couple of quick photos before heading to Brooks for our second Thanksgiving dinner, my Mom and I killed some time while he was getting ready (believe it or not I’m usually ready before he is!) and also captured what I was wearing. Although this post wasn’t originally part of my editorial calendar, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share a fresh instalment in my STYLE STAPLES series dedicated to relaxed, comfortable fall fashion (the family dog, Charlie, even makes an appearance!).

My Casual Fall Style Staples are my most worn, most loved seasonal pieces that combine to create my go-to casual fall outfit formula — one I’ve worn various iterations of here at JustineCelina throughout the years! Longtime readers will know that while I absolutely love to dress up, I also love to dress well for more casual occasions. Today I’m sharing what I wore to Thanksgiving Dinner, complete with my absolute favourite fall wardrobe staples and elevated basics — the ones I look forward to repurchasing each year in new colours and textures! This laidback, bohemian look combines core pieces from my casual autumn wardrobe to create an outfit perfect for holiday family dinners, or anytime I want to look put together, but be comfortable and cozy (because I don’t believe they should be mutually exclusive). And as always, it’s a mixture of high, low, old (even vintage!) and new. Come along to my childhood home in rural Alberta to chat easygoing fall fashion amongst the yellowing Aspen trees and swaying tall grass!

TRANSITIONAL SUMMER TO FALL 2019 LOOKBOOK

With Autumn Equinox behind us and my favourite month of the year coming to a close, I’m back today with a bonus, 6 outfit, Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook! If you’ve been following along with my style content this year, you’ll know I committed to producing one, 12 outfit seasonal LOOKBOOK here at JustineCelina in 2019. That said, since fall (and this gorgeous month when summer turns to fall!) is the season I feel most inspired FASHION wise, I created this mini transitional lookbook to celebrate the sartorial nuances I adore when blending the best of both seasons!

Friends, the last month of 2017 is upon us (say what?!?!) and that means it’s time for an extra festive edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS to send 2016 off in style! Join Rebecca Dawn Design and I in welcoming winter with a fresh selection of seasonal flowers and whimsical, holiday inspired designs. This time we’re highlighting the cooler side of the PANTONE Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report — including luxe, velvety hues of Tawny Port, Ballet Slipper, Navy Peony, Golden Lime and Marina. We hope you enjoy this refreshing change of pace from the warm, autumnal palettes we’re been working with for the last few months! December 2017’s Digital Blooms feature some of our favourite winter flowers, foliage and berries — including Anenomies, Asclepias, Astilbe, Astrantia, Knifeblade Acacia, Liqustrom, Ruby Silk Grass, Sedum and Spray Roses. NOVEMBER 2017 SOUNDTRACK

And just like that, another month has flown by (how is 2017 almost over?!). Welcome back for another monthly soundtrack, where I compile all my most listened to tracks in one tidy little playlist for you to enjoy! My November 2017 Soundtrack is an eclectic, 50 song playlist featuring tons of new artists and a melange of different genres — we’re talking everything from electronic to indie and hip hop to instrumental. This month, there’s even a new track from an artist who personally reached out to thank me for including one of his tunes in a previous playlist (I’m totally digging Infinitefreefall’s newest release, Belonging, which you’ll have the pleasure of listening to today!).
