With love month is upon us, I’m elated to share a fresh, free floral tech wallpaper inspired by February’s quintessential hue, along with all things soft and feminine! Although it’s the height of winter here in Calgary, February’s arrival always preludes my intense longing for spring. Hey, hey flower friends! After my last post, I’m very excited to get some more lighthearted content out today! Love month is upon us — and Rebecca Dawn Design are celebrating the best way we know how — by sharing 3 free, Valentine’s Day inspired floral tech wallpapers with you! Last February, we created a special Love Edition set of DIGITAL BLOOMS prominently featuring roses — and they’ve become our most downloaded set to date. Due to overwhelming popularity, we’re keeping the love inspired theme going this year — but we’re working with more than just roses! FEBRUARY 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Welcome back for another edition of Monthly Beauty Favourites! I have a little bit of everything to share with you this month — including including makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrance and wellness recommendations that span categories here at JustineCelina. My February 2017 Beauty Favourites is a long one, so if you’re spending this snowy Sunday afternoon at home with half an hour to spare, curl up with a nice hot mug of tea and let’s chat chat about a few of my favourite things!

I was truly all over the map this month in terms of products I used and loved, which makes for a very eclectic medley! Makeup wise I found myself drawn to romantic, rosy hues, nude lips and colourful, blown out smoky eyes — I’m craving spring inspired hues, but still embracing the drama of winter. Extremely dry, frigid winter weather persists here in Calgary (and unfortunately March is looking cold!) so my skin has definitely been feeling the effects. I discovered some extremely hydrating products for both my hands and my lips containing nourishing oils to aid in hydration. I also found a great product for taming those pesky flyaways, an inexpensive, no frills setting powder for the face and I rediscovered my love for a metallic, budget friendly eyeliner. I also visited my favourite spa in Canmore for a massage and picked up a chakra balancing essential oil to enjoy at home (in fact, I have some in a warmer right now!). On the completely other end of the spectrum, I feel head over heels for Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum after attending a lovely event celebrating its launch earlier last month!

FEBRUARY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

I wore so many soft, rosy hues in February! My pink obsession is still going strong and last month it definitely crept its way into the beauty department. A bit of a disclaimer — since it’s my Blogiversary month (JustineCelina turned one on March 2nd!) you’ll notice a strong Rose Quartz and Serenity theme on the blog this month leading up to my celebratory post. I’m super inspired by the Pantone colours of the year, and I’ll be flooding your feeds with tons of pretty, flowery, pink and blue imagery in March. Sorry (not sorry) in advance!

I also developed a thing for deep green eyeliners, rediscovered an old standby mascara, and a multi-purpose baked highlighter. If you’re a fan of soft, pretty, natural looking makeup then you’ll love my February Beauty Favourites. All but one of my favorites are also under $10 — I firmly believe you don’t have to spend a lot to look like a million bucks!

FEBRUARY SOUNDTRACK

This is the music I had on repeat during love month. Since I’ve started using Spotify, I feel like I’m able to explore all different genres (and time periods) of music much more fluidly. So, my February Soundtrack is a a really eclectic mash up of happy, feel good tunes! Overall, I’m just able to have a lot more freedom with these monthly soundtracks. February was a very inspired month for me, and I draw so much of my creative inspiration from the music I listen to. I discovered tons of new artists, but I also rediscovered some old favourites like alt-J. Since I had access to whatever I wanted, I went on a huge Beatles binge — so I’ve ended this playlist with my favourite Beatles song. If you’re looking for some great thinking and creating music, I think you’ll love this month’s mix.
