Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for my third AW17 TREND GUIDE and final set of photos we shot in the Alberta Badlands — this time, at dusk! Tonight I’m thrilled to share a bit of an edgier look than you’re typically used to seeing here at JustineCeina, but as I mentioned, I’ve been totally reinspired fashion wise this autumn and really experimenting with my personal style (and having tons of fun in the process!). It was also a lot of fun to experiment with different lighting conditions — since we shot this look in the last 15 minutes before the sunset, these photos have a bit of a moodier vibe to them. I think it suits the outfit perfectly!
Tonight I’m Falling for Floralsall over again and styling a selection of seasonal trends through fresh eyes — including autumn / winter florals, soft leather, velvet, faux fur, circular shades and red. If you’re looking to elevate your personal style or refresh some wardrobe staples as we transition into winter, this post is for you! Tonight I’m wearing a both old and new favourites — this is a look I’ve worn quite a few times this season and received tons of questions about. If you’ve always wanted to explore moody florals, find your perfect (faux) leather jacket or red lip and aren’t sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place! Pour yourself a delicious glass of vino (or fix yourself big mug of herbal tea!) and get cozy for an in depth style chat, complete with tons of shoppable links and alternatives for every price point and body type (would you believe my dress is under $30?!).
With Autumn Equinox behind us and my favourite month of the year coming to a close, I’m back today with a bonus, 6 outfit, Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook! If you’ve been following along with my style content this year, you’ll know I committed to producing one, 12 outfit seasonal LOOKBOOK here at JustineCelina in 2019. That said, since fall (and this gorgeous month when summer turns to fall!) is the season I feel most inspired FASHION wise, I created this mini transitional lookbook to celebrate the sartorial nuances I adore when blending the best of both seasons!
It’s the magical time of year when we can wear boots with bare legs, espadrilles with chunky knits, felt hats with chiffon, embroidery with corduroy and velvet with florals — and I’m fully embracing it! If you’re ready for a healthy dose of fall fashion and seasonal colour trends but not quite ready to retire your favourite summer pieces, you’ve come to the right place! My Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook features everything I’ve been wearing in both personal and professional settings this month — complete with tons of transitional styling advice and shoppable links at every price point, set against a gorgeous backdrop of our changing inner-city Calgary landscape.
With 3 weeks of summer still to savour, I’m back today with my Late Summer 2019 Lookbook! Since I live in a climate where there’s snow covering the ground for 7+ months of the year, I love to make the most of my summer wardrobe (and put as many miles on my open-toed shoes as possible!) while the weather cooperates! Once of my favourite ways to blend summer and autumn is with colour — recently I’ve been really inspired by the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 Fashion Colour Trend Report and am taking cues for my transitional style. As always, you can expect a mash-up of high, low, old, new and vintage in my Late Summer 2019 Lookbook — with the beautiful Alberta prairies and badlands as our backdrop! With the first official day of spring behind us and temperatures soaring into the teens here in Calgary, I couldn’t be happier to bring you my first Spring2019 TREND GUIDE! The sun is out, the skies are blue and the snow is starting to melt — which means it’s time begin rotating our seasonal wardrobes, transitioning winter out (byyyyyyyye!) as we ease into spring styles. That said, March weather is extremely unpredictable in Calgary — for example, over the course of the next week, temperatures range between a sunny 14°C degrees and a snowy -1°C! Dressing the part can be a bit of a daunting task when all we want to do is pack away our coats, knits and endless layers to embrace a fresh season!
These in-between months where we have the opportunity to blend the best of 2 seasons are actually some of my favourite to dress for — and that’s exactly how this experimental, bohemian look came to life! If you’re craving spring trends and colours but still faced with the bipolar nature of transitional weather, this post is for you. Today I’m chatting about how you can start integrating some of Spring 2019‘s hottest trends into your wardrobe right now, juxtaposed with cold weather style staples to create a versatile winter-meets-spring outfit formula. Saddle up for a free-spirited, transitional take on faux fur, florals, western boots, flat-brimmed hats and Pantone’s Spring / Summer 2019 Colour Trend Report as we watch the sun rise over the rolling fields near my childhood home in rural Alberta!
