It’s the most wonderful time of the year — limited edition holiday beauty releases are here! But seriously, I think this is the best time of year for beauty lovers and am thrilled to be sharing my hit list for Holiday 2016 in partnership with Sephora Canada. If you’ve been reading JustineCelina since last year, you may remember me covering holiday beauty releases in a series of posts — well, today I’m combining all my holiday beauty recommendations into one mega post to help inform all your holiday beauty purchases! Whether you’re doing a little pre-holiday shopping for yourself (hey, I’m not here to judge!) or choosing to give the gift of beauty this holiday season, my Holiday 2016 Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers is for you! This comprehensive guide for the beauty obsessed is an overarching look at my favourite holiday-exclusive products and value packed offerings across categories. Grab a pen and paper (and maybe your credit card!), fix yourself a festive cocktail and let’s chat about a few of my favourite beauty things this holiday season!
Don’t you just love limited edition holiday beauty releases? It’s that magical time of year when brands really seem to step up their game and create so many exclusive products, and value-packed offerings. If you’ve been with me for awhile, you’ll know that I really love Bite Beauty — a Canadian lip-exclusive brand who’s products are made with natural, food grade ingredients that are actually good for your lips. I’ve mentioned previously that Bite’s Luminous Crème Lipsticks are my all time favourite lipsticks — every year I love to pick up these mini duos. They last me until the next year! Today I’m reviewing all 12 shades from the Mix n’ Mingle range for Holiday 2015. If you’re in the market for some great new lipsticks, or looking for gift ideas, you’ve come to the right place!
I swear that every year, limited edition holiday beauty sets start hitting the market earlier and earlier! Today I’m reviewing the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind Set, which is limited edition for Holiday 2015. Bite Beauty is one of my favourite brands, they get a lot of love here at JustineCelina — all products are made with natural, food grade ingredients, and they’re Canadian. Each holiday season (or… in October!) I look forward to picking up one of their limited edition holiday sets to try their new shades — and this set definitely does not disappoint! It contains four deluxe-size Mini Matte Crème Lip Crayons in the shades Café, Torte, Coulis and Aubergine (which are all exclusive to this set, except Aubergine) housed in a beautiful holiday tin. Currently, it’s IN STOCK online at sephora.com, and there are quite a few available in-store.

As a skincare advocate, it was only a matter of time before I tip-toed into the world of medical aesthetics. I’m truly passionate about skincare (I’m writing this post wearing a face mask!) — it’s something I’m asked about almost daily, both in real life and online. SKINCARE posts are some of my most popular content here at JustineCelina as well! As a woman now in her 30’s who’s been on a mission to educate herself about skincare over the last 5 years as I embarked on my journey to healthy, happy skin (read more about my story and routine) I’ve become increasingly intrigued by the world of cosmetic medicine. So when INLIV invited me to their open house to learn more about their company and full circle approach to health, wellness and medical aesthetics, I jumped at the opportunity! Those of you who follow along with my Insta Stories may even remember coming along (and that live Botox demonstration we sat in on!). You may also know I’ve been trying some new things in the skincare department over the past few months to help my skin look and feel its best — and today I’m sharing what’s worked and what hasn’t!
This weekend I’m thrilled to partner with INLIV to bring you my first experience with medical aesthetics and My Secret For Holiday Ready Skin — professional microdermabrasion! If you, too are curious about the world of cosmetic medicine but aren’t sure where to start, I’m so happy you’re here! Come along with me to INLIV’s gorgeous space here in Calgary, Alberta as I share every detail of my experience — the facility, the equipment, the treatment, my results and what to expect from a professional microdermabrasion. If your winter complexion could use a little extra sparkle just in time for the holidays, microdermabrasion is a quick, affordable, non invasive option with no downtime. I’ve been absolutely loving my results!
It’s mid December and the holiday party season is in full swing, so I thought it was the perfect time to share a new post in my WHAT TO WEAR TO series — this time, to Casual Holiday Parties! I’m all about comfortable, laid back holiday looks remixing pieces from my existing wardrobe. This season, I’ve picked up a couple of new, trendier accessories to refresh my old favourites — and I’m so excited to share my finds with you! I actually wore this exact outfit to a restaurant opening on Steven Avenue (where we came back to shoot this post) last month and had tons of compliments and questions about it — a few women mentioned wanting to wear something similar to their holiday parties this year! And so this post idea was born. The best part is I put this look together with pieces I already owned — although my boots and hat are newer purchases from earlier this season!
Today I’m chatting about What To Wear To | Casual Holiday Parties and sharing a few of my favourite versatile, cool weather staples you can style a million different ways — during this festive season and beyond! If you’re attending a laid back holiday celebration this year and want to dress up a little without going full on glam (or buying an entirely new outfit), this post is for you! Come hang out for some tips on how get creative and shop your closet for items, fabrics and patterns you may not necessarily think to wear during the holidays — including pleated maxi skirts, velvet, baker boy caps, cross body bags, sock boots, checks and wool coats. And if you are on the hunt for a few key pieces to refresh your winter staples for 2017, I’ve included tons of shoppable links for you at every price point! Let’s all eat, drink and be merry in style this season!
Hey hey, you beautiful humans! Welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post — and the last one of 2017 (I’m still having a hard time believing the year is almost over!). For a completely different change of pace, my November 2017 Beauty Favourites are relatively short ‘n sweet, containing just 6 products — it was a busy month for me, with lots of events and even more behind the scenes work on some larger projects (which I’m excited to share with you in the New Year!). That said, I tend to stick with what I know beauty-wise when I’m short on time — but I did place a new Colourpop order and discovered my favourite palette of 2017 (doesn’t hurt that it’s just $16.00, either!). Last month my lip product choices were all over the map and I didn’t have a particular shade or formula I reached for consistently, but I did discover (and rediscover) a handful of body care, fragrance and nail products!
If you’re looking for some transitional beauty recommendations that will carry you through the holiday season, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m sharing a budget friendly palette full of stunning, metallic neutrals, a glitzy, plum toned blush, the perfect cool weather polish that goes with everything, a nourishing, multi purpose oil for the hair and skin, a delicious lip scrub to give your winter pout a little extra TLC and a luxurious transitional fragrance perfect for December’s festivities. If you have a few minutes to spare on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, find a cozy reading nook and let’s dive into a few of my favourite things — I’ve even included a few holiday gifting ideas for the beauty lovers in your life!
