MY TOP 5 PUMPKIN SPICE LIPSTICKS

Fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons — but something I look forward to each year is pulling out all my favourite warm, cozy lip colours (and trying a few new ones!) to mark the change in seasons. Last autumn as I was organizing my vanity for the season, I noticed a major theme — all of my most-worn autumn lip colours had a very similar, pumpkin spice inspired colour story (yes, I actually began working on My Top 5 Pumpkin Spice Lipsticks post last fall!). Although I may be the only woman on the planet who isn’t into Pumpkin Spice Lattes (shocking, I know!), I can definitely appreciate the inspiration behind this quintessentially autumnal beverage. So naturally, I thought this concept would make a fantastic addition to my seasonal BEAUTY content here at JustineCelina! I absolutely love to embrace each season as fully as possible — whether it be in my personal style, beauty routine, home or what I choose to nourish my body with. While a lot has changed in 2020, my love of fall beauty remains — and although I’m not wearing as much makeup as I did pre-pandemic (or getting glammed up nearly as often), I still love to treat myself to a beautiful, seasonal makeup application for an instant confidence boost. I hope I can inspire you to do the same, as my makeup routine has remained one of my most cherished forms of self care over the years!

MY TOP 5 EVERYDAY LIP COLOURS + BEAUTY CONTENT UPDATE

Lipstick lovers, I’m elated to share My Top 5 Everyday Lip Colours with you today to kick off the return of beauty content here at JustineCelina — my first dedicated BEAUTY post in nearly 2 years! I’m thrilled to introduce a brand new series called MY TOP 5, where I shared tried and true beauty staples across categories. Happy love day, friends! This year, I’m putting a PANTONE 2019 Colour of the Year spin on Valentine’s celebrations with a warm, pink-hued introduction to all things Living Coral! By now, you’ve likely heard about 2019’s hottest hue — either here at JustineCelina, or elsewhere online. As a creative professional, I’ve followed PANTONE (the global colour authority for creative industries) for inspiration my entire career. In fact, I even have a section dedicated to them here on the blog to categorize all my PANTONE inspired work throughout the years! As someone who’s very inspired by colour, I love to stay informed about the latest colour trends and allow them to inspire, challenge and push my creative work.

I couldn’t think of a better time than the first week of February (and during another crazy winter storm — cue eye roll!) to share my latest style obsession with you — blush! Those of you who know me in real life can attest to the fact that I’ve probably said I ‘don’t really wear pink’ about 1000 times (I’ve even mentioned that in a few posts!) — but today I’m eating my words! I’m completely obsessed with all things blush right now and have had this stunning Topshop Alicia Boucle Wool Blend Coat (that I snapped up on clearance just before it sold out over the holidays!) on repeat lately, so I thought it was time to share a blush focused look with you. As I mentioned in our February DIGITAL BLOOMS, there’s definitely a bit of a theme happening here at JustineCelina this month! So, I thought it was the perfect time to revive my COLOUR CRUSH series — where I highlight an on trend colour and show you how to work it into your personal style!

HOW TO STYLE | OVERSIZED KNITS

The bigger the sweater the better… am I right?! This winter, oversized knits are trendier than ever — and I’m all for it. Like any good Canadian girl, I pretty much live in oversized sweaters from November through March — they’re another item I’ve always worn regardless of whether or not they’re particularly on trend. In fact, I love this sweater so much I actually own it in 3 different colours (total repeat offender here!) and they’re by far my most worn knits this season. As an oversized knit aficionado, today I’m thrilled to bring you How to Style | Oversized Knits and share my favourite ways to dress up your knitwear for maximum versatility! Sure, it’s easy to throw on an oversized knit with leggings and OTK boots or your standard skinnies and be out the door (I do this too!), but this winter I’ve been having fun with my oversized knits and getting creative!

Although it’s January, the weather has actually been quite mild and I’m finding myself looking ahead to spring. There’s been a lot of talk here at JustineCelina this year about the Pantone Spring 2018 Fashion Colour Trend Report — I’m really craving (and being inspired by) spring’s onslaught of pastels and brights! WINTER 2018 TREND GUIDE | RED HOT

Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for the first TREND GUIDE of 2018! If the new year has you itching to upgrade your personal style or educate yourself about what’s hot this winter, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m styling a handful of my favourite winter-to-spring trends in a colourful, artistic look — including red, chenille, berets, circular details, distressed hems and sock boots (I marched right into 2018 wearing my favourite pair!). I’m also sharing some of my favourite cold weather beauty staples and a look ahead at spring colour trends as forecasted by Pantone (because although it’s a new year, some things never change!).

DECEMBER 2017 FAVOURITES

It’s the second Monday of a fresh new year and I’m back to share some beauty and lifestyle favourites with you! Last Monday was my first day back to work after taking a bit of time off over the holidays and I’m feeling refreshed, recharged and reinspired for all 2018 has in store. I eased into the new year slowly and really carved out some time to think about what I want to accomplish and share with you here at JustineCelina. It was definitely a valuable exercise that caused me to reevaluate my typical content schedule — and left me with the desire to shake things up around here!

So, I’ve decided that my Monthly Favourites posts are now going to include lifestyle and WELLNESS favourites in addition to BEAUTY, FRAGRANCE and SKINCARE! I’ve also decided I may no longer publish them every month — but rather, more organically when I have favorites to share. You guys get a good idea of what I’m loving FASHION and MUSIC wise through my style content and Monthly Soundtracks, but I’ve never really had an outlet to share my lifestyle and wellness favourites in this capacity. This month my favourites even include some decor (as it relates to wellness!). All this change also inspired me to switch things up in the way I capture this content. I know you’re used to seeing a lot of flatlays styled with flowers and foliage — and while those are beautiful, I felt it was time for a change! Today I used the actual items I’m chatting about to style this post — including healing rose quartz accents, our Himalayan natural salt lamp and a few air plants I’ve collected over the past few months as we refresh our space (they’ll be a lot more interior design and decor content coming to JustineCelina this year!).
