EARLY AUTUMN 2020 LOOKBOOK + COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Friends and fashionistas, I’m thrilled to bring some structure and familiarity back to my STYLE content today with this 6 outfit, Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook — my first since April! While 2020 has thrown all semblance of order and routine for a loop, one thing that remains is my love of fall fashion. Each autumn I go into content creation overdrive creating and capturing things that inspire me! And despite life looking quite a bit different than it did this time last year, I was determined to not let COVID put a damper on my personal style. Regardless of the pandemic, dressing up and dressing well allows me to present the best, most confident and truest version of myself to the world — and I simply refused to let my stilettos collect dust for another season! Those of you who’ve been with me for awhile here at JustineCelina will know I theme my content seasonally, as I’m always looking to nature for inspiration — taking cues from the changing landscape to inform both my creative work and my personal style. It felt incredible to reignite my passion for pulling together looks, capturing them beautiful settings and curating them into one my signature, seasonal LOOKBOOKS!

This year we’ve been fortunate to enjoy the warmest fall I can remember — and we shot more seasonal style content than ever before against the backdrop of our beautiful Alberta landscape. We also captured images in both country and city locations (complete with an introduction to my top face mask recommendations and accompanying Community Guidelines), so my Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook features sartorial inspiration for variety of settings! That said, no matter the setting, my wardrobe has become more casual, comfortable and practical than ever this year — and it’s a very welcome shift. The majority of the pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe in 2020 are ultra versatile to suit a variety of occasions — whether I’m working from home, enjoying a quiet evening in or heading out for a (very rare) occasional celebration. With Winter Solstice in the rear-view, it feels surreal to be publishing my final LOOKBOOK of the decade (isn’t that absolutely wild?!). AUTUMN 2019 LOOKBOOK

We’re deep into autumn here in Calgary and I’m back to share what I’ve been wearing in this 6 outfit Autumn 2019 Lookbook! Over the past couple of months we’ve been working on capturing style content more seamlessly in our day-to-day lives, popping out to shoot what I’m wearing whenever (and wherever) we have a couple of free hours — and it’s been working out well! In September I also experimented with publishing a 6 outfit LOOKBOOK to celebrate the transition of summer to autumn (my favourite time of year!) and I really enjoyed that process. Although I committed to producing one, 12 outfit seasonal LOOKBOOK here at JustineCelina at the beginning of the year, I find that the weather changes so quickly (and drastically) here in Calgary it can be a completely different season from the time I start working on a 12 outfit LOOKBOOK to the time I actually publish it (they’re at least a month in the making!). So, for the remainder of the year, I’m excited to announce I’ll be producing 6 outfit LOOKBOOKS with quicker turn around times, to more accurately depict what I’m wearing for each micro-season!

My Autumn 2019 Lookbook features 6 of my favourite fall looks that have carried me from chinooks through snow storms in style! Autumn weather in Calgary is extremely erratic — and over the years I’ve actually really come to enjoy the challenge of dressing for it. OCTOBER 2019 SOUNDTRACK

How is it the end of October?! Another month has flown by — and that means it’s time for another Monthly Soundtrack here at JustineCelina! October was full of lots of BTS work fall content (including our Entrance Way Reveal!) — and these ultra chill, jazzy tunes are what kept me going. My October 2019 Soundtrack is a short n’ sweet 30 track playlist full of ultra chill, mostly instrumental tunes. I discovered Andrew Applepie’s Six Chill Beats EP along with Spotify’s Jazz Vibes playlist this month and I pretty much listened to them on-repeat — honestly, I could have added every single track! CASUAL FALL STYLE STAPLES

Fall fashion lovers, welcome back for a fresh instalment in my STYLE STAPLES series — this time, highlighting the more casual side of my personal style! We enjoyed this past Thanksgiving weekend completely unplugged in the country — and although I was device free, I brought my professional camera along. I actually had no intention of capturing style content last weekend, but rather, was hoping for some nice family photos since it had been forever since we’d taken some (we’re talking 5+ years!). Adam isn’t really into being in front of the camera too often — so when he agreed to sneak in a couple of quick photos before heading to Brooks for our second Thanksgiving dinner, my Mom and I killed some time while he was getting ready (believe it or not I’m usually ready before he is!) and also captured what I was wearing. Although this post wasn’t originally part of my editorial calendar, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share a fresh instalment in my STYLE STAPLES series dedicated to relaxed, comfortable fall fashion (the family dog, Charlie, even makes an appearance!).

My Casual Fall Style Staples are my most worn, most loved seasonal pieces that combine to create my go-to casual fall outfit formula — one I’ve worn various iterations of here at JustineCelina throughout the years! Longtime readers will know that while I absolutely love to dress up, I also love to dress well for more casual occasions. Today I’m sharing what I wore to Thanksgiving Dinner, complete with my absolute favourite fall wardrobe staples and elevated basics — the ones I look forward to repurchasing each year in new colours and textures! This laidback, bohemian look combines core pieces from my casual autumn wardrobe to create an outfit perfect for holiday family dinners, or anytime I want to look put together, but be comfortable and cozy (because I don’t believe they should be mutually exclusive). And as always, it’s a mixture of high, low, old (even vintage!) and new. TRANSITIONAL SUMMER TO FALL 2019 LOOKBOOK

With Autumn Equinox behind us and my favourite month of the year coming to a close, I’m back today with a bonus, 6 outfit, Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook! If you’ve been following along with my style content this year, you’ll know I committed to producing one, 12 outfit seasonal LOOKBOOK here at JustineCelina in 2019. That said, since fall (and this gorgeous month when summer turns to fall!) is the season I feel most inspired FASHION wise, I created this mini transitional lookbook to celebrate the sartorial nuances I adore when blending the best of both seasons!

RASPBERRY BERET

Whether you’re new to JustineCelina or have been with me for years, my love of colour is evident. In fact, it’s probably my biggest source of inspiration across content categories, in my work and in pretty much every aspect of my life! Year after year as we transition into an extremely colourless late winter, I find myself seeing through proverbial rose-coloured glasses and craving all things pink — in my wardrobe (in fact, I published a look wearing this coat exactly 1 year ago!), beauty routine and even my cocktails! This cozy, feminine, monochromatic look is an ode to my current obsession with all things burgundy and blush — capped off with a quintessential Raspberry Beret!

I’ve had this ‘outfit formula’ on repeat since the holidays and it features a handful of my winter style staples. In fact, you can also see iterations of it here at JustineCelina over the years and throughout the seasons (here, here and here). I’m all about sharing looks I wear in my day-to-day life and this outfit formula is my first choice on cold, casual winter days when I want to be warm and comfortable while still feeling polished!
