I’m so happy to be sharing more fashion content with you this fall and winter! To kick things off today, I’m starting a new series here at JustineCelina called HOW TO STYLE — showing you how to style a specific on-trend item that you might not think you can pull off, or may be intimidated by.

I’ve loved ponchos for years, and will always wear what I love regardless of whether or not it’s trendy — but I’m pretty excited that ponchos are everywhere this fall! They’re such a statement piece, and a great way to add interest, depth and texture to your fall wardrobe. The one I’m wearing is actually from Garage Clothing (yeah that’s right… I was shocked too!) — it’s so cozy and luxurious feeling. FALL 2020 LOOKBOOK

Fall fashion lovers, I’m thrilled to welcome you back for another seasonally inspired LOOKBOOK! Since publishing my Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook, there have been a few notable developments here in Calgary in regards to new public health measures to combat the second wave of COVID-19 we’re currently experiencing. I’ve been fairly quiet here at JustineCelina as we navigated what Alberta’s new restrictions look like for us and our businesses ahead of the holiday season. In light of these recent announcements, we decided against shooting the final three winter looks I had planned for this LOOKBOOK outdoors. As social gatherings of any kind are prohibited both in our homes as well as outdoors, it simply doesn’t feel like the right time to do so. As I’ve mentioned previously, these restrictions are something I take very seriously. These LOOKBOOKS showcase what I’m authentically wearing each season — and getting dressed up with quite literally no where to go simply didn’t resonate with me. Since we’re all staying in these days, I knew it wouldn’t resonate with you either!

That said, I didn’t want that to stop me from from serving up one final dose of late fall fashion here at JustineCelina this season while we’re all cozied up at home! Alas, the fall looks we captured earlier this autumn were collecting dust on my hard drive and I wanted to bring them to life, even if this LOOKBOOK doesn’t follow my typical 6 outfit format. HOW TO STYLE | KIMONOS FOR AUTUMN

Friends, I’ve never been more excited to share a FASHION post here at JustineCelina as I am today! If you follow along via my socials, you’ll know that we took a trip to the Alberta Badlands on an unseasonably warm (and windy!) day last week to shoot some new autumn style content. This look is the first of 3 captured against this stunning landscape that will be rolling out over the next month or so — and they’re some of my favourite images we’ve ever created, fashion wise! Today’s post also marks the revival of my HOW TO STYLE series — where I take specific on-trend item that you might not think you can pull off, may be intimidated by, or may not think is wearable for a certain season. If you frequent my style archives, you’ll know just how much I love kimonos — but did you know they’re actually one of my favourite pieces to wear year round? Today I’m sharing my best tips and tricks for styling kimonos for autumn, as well as a handful of my favourite casual fall wardrobe staples!

I mentioned earlier in October that since cutting my fringe I feel completely reinspired fashion wise. I’d always wanted take a trip to the Badlands to capture style content and I figured an 18°C day in October was as good a time as any! Typically, we photograph style content as I’m actually wearing things (it’s more authentic to me that way), but I was itching to try something new. So, I packed up the car with outfits and gear — and we headed an hour northwest of my childhood home in rural Alberta to the Drumheller area for a change of scenery. As we journeyed into the desert and beautiful backdrops unfolded around every turn I marveled at how traveling just a couple of hours can really inspire the content and it’s something I want to do a lot more of in the future! VEGAN FIESTA BUFFALO TOFU BOWLS WITH TAHINI LIME CREMA

Wait I’m confused… what season is it? Watermelon is still front and centre at my local grocer and yet it’s snowing (oh, how I wish I was kidding). As I edit this post, I’m enjoying a glass of crisp rosé in a poncho and fuzzy slippers — and I finally have to cave and turn the heat on! While the weather in Calgary has been less than desirable, late summer harvest has been kind to us with local tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuces popping up everywhere — and I’m taking full advantage. If you, too are in the mood for some healthy comfort food to weather the storm, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m elated to continue my partnership with Inspired Greens and bring you my Vegan Fiesta Buffalo Tofu Bowls with Tahini Lime Crema — the meal that kept us nourished during our paint-a-thon this summer. I literally came up with this recipe by throwing what we had on hand into a big salad bowl, mixing it up and serving it. Upon first bite, I knew I’d be publishing it — after all, unusual circumstances typically lead to some of my most inventive recipe ideas!

Seriously though — if chicken wings, a plate of loaded nachos and a burrito had a vegan love child, this would be it! SUMMER 2017 TREND GUIDE | KIMONO LOVE

Things I’m happy about today: it’s almost the long weekend, the weather is gorgeous, and I’m wearing a kimono! I’m not ashamed to admit I have 13 kimonos currently hanging in my closet — they’ve been my most worn summer item for as long as I can remember and I love to collect them (I even have a few vintage kimonos!). Naturally, I’m elated to bring you my first SUMMER 2017 TREND GUIDE today highlighting one of my favourite seasonal trends — luxe, loungewear inspired kimonos! Like ponchos, kimonos have always been a staple in my wardrobe, regardless of whether or not they’re particularly on trend that season.

Those of you who know me personally are probably used to seeing me in kimonos, especially during the warmer months. So, I used one of my favourite kimonos as a statement piece in today’s post and paired it up with a handful of summer trends — including bold botanical prints, fringe hem denim, mules, millennial pink, eyelet, tassels, circular cross body bags, hexagon sunglasses and sunset inspired makeup.
