MY TOP 5 PUMPKIN SPICE LIPSTICKS

Fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons — but something I look forward to each year is pulling out all my favourite warm, cozy lip colours (and trying a few new ones!) to mark the change in seasons. Last autumn as I was organizing my vanity for the season, I noticed a major theme — all of my most-worn autumn lip colours had a very similar, pumpkin spice inspired colour story (yes, I actually began working on My Top 5 Pumpkin Spice Lipsticks post last fall!). Although I may be the only woman on the planet who isn’t into Pumpkin Spice Lattes (shocking, I know!), I can definitely appreciate the inspiration behind this quintessentially autumnal beverage. So naturally, I thought this concept would make a fantastic addition to my seasonal BEAUTY content here at JustineCelina! I absolutely love to embrace each season as fully as possible — whether it be in my personal style, beauty routine, home or what I choose to nourish my body with. With the promise of spring dancing on the warm Chinook breeze, I find myself looking to refresh my BEAUTY routine to reflect the transitioning seasons. You may have noticed a consistent colour story here at JustineCelina this month — I’m absolutely head over heels for all things pink and feminine, which seems to be a recurring theme each February! COLOUR CRUSH | RED

Do you have a power colour? I’m beginning to think mine is red. Oddly enough, it’s not a hue I’ve worn often over the past 4ish years since rocking my natural hair colour. Back in my (much) younger, platinum blonde days (yes, really — in fact, I’ve had almost every single hair colour except jet black!) red was one of my favourite colours to wear! This year, I’ve been increasingly drawn to red and have incorporated more of this statement shade into my personal style. Fast forward to SS18 and red is everywhere — a classic colour that demands attention, instills confidence and couldn’t be more suited to our scorching summer climate. I’ve always believed that red lips give you superpowers, so just imagine what wearing red-to-toe (ie: wearing red, head to toe) can do for you!

Today’s post is a fresh installment in my COLOUR CRUSH series and my take on a summery, red-to-toe look — along with a crash course on colour theory to help you find your perfect shade of red and master on-trend, monochromatic dressing. The best part? Once you’ve learned the basics, you can apply these tips to any colour or shade if red isn’t your thing! WINTER 2018 TREND GUIDE | RED HOT

Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for the first TREND GUIDE of 2018! If the new year has you itching to upgrade your personal style or educate yourself about what’s hot this winter, you’ve come to the right place! MILITARY INSPIRED

What better time to photograph a style post than during a heavy snowfall / extreme cold warning when you’re snowed in in the country… right?! I headed east to my childhood home in rural Alberta this past weekend and took the snowstorm as a perfect opportunity to shoot this Military Inspired look in the crisp white serenity of the prairies. It was a bit chilly, but these photos made it all worthwhile!

While the most of the world is gearing up for spring, arctic Canadian weather is still alive and well here in Alberta and February can often be our coldest month. As such, I’m a big fan of the statement coat — especially during the winter when your outerwear is your outfit. While I’ve always loved Military Inspired styles (this jacket is about 6 years old!) I was thrilled to see a resurgence of the military trend this winter — and today I’m showing you how to wear it! I’ve paired a classic Military Inspired statement coat with luxe winter accessories in a few of my favourite cold weather textures including faux fur and velvet. I truly believe a well constructed, Military Inspired coat is a timeless piece and a fantastic addition to dress up any winter wardrobe!
