SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE | CASUAL CHIC

I’m back today with another SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE for you — and this time, I’m styling 1 outfit 2 ways! If we’ve visited IRL lately, there’s a good chance I may have been wearing some iteration of this outfit (don’t think fashion bloggers don’t rewear their favourite outfits around different groups of people!). I’ve worn this Casual Chic look to meetings, to daytime events and also out to enjoy a glass of rosé on a sunny patio with friends in the evening — transitioning my outfit simply by changing up a few accessories and losing a layer! While I’d love to be frolicking in a field or on a mountaintop everyday of my life (I mean… who wouldn’t?!), I realize that’s just not realistic for the average woman and moving forward I’ll be showcasing the more professional side of my wardrobe here at JustineCelina as well.

While this outfit incorporates a handful of seasonal trends, it’s also such an easy one to wear — and one I think would suit almost every body shape. So beautiful people, kick back with me this weekend and let’s chat palazzo pants and 70’s inspired silhouettes, stripes, the new white shirt, cold shoulders, straw bags, wedges, vibrant lips, metallics and the difference between inexpensive and designer shades (I’m wearing my very first pair of designer sunglasses in this post and sharing my thoughts on whether or not they’re worth the splurge)!

SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE | GINGHAM STYLE + MOTHER’S DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS

Welcome back for the first of many Spring / Summer 2017 TREND GUIDES coming to JustineCelina this season! Today we’re kicking things off with a bang — my Spring 2017 Trend Guide | Gingham Style was shot at 2900 feet atop Sulphur Mountain in the Canadian Rockies! Knowing my Mom was the woman behind the lens of my style content, my friends at Brewster Travel Canada reached out earlier this month, offering to treat us to a chocolate tasting and wine pairing at the Sky Bistro for Mother’s Day (how incredibly thoughtful is that?)! I’d been trying to mastermind a way to get my Mom to the mountains for Mother’s Day for quite some time, so when the opportunity to spend a day learning about chocolate from master chocolatier Bernard Callebaut presented itself, she simply couldn’t pass it up. We had the best time — I know many of you enjoyed coming along in my Insta Stories last weekend!

Today I’ll be sharing a few highlights from our day along with key seasonal trends — we’re talking yellow, red (and that Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report!), gingham, embroidery, flats, novelty denim and more. This post is part Spring 2017 Trend Guide | Gingham Style and part Mother’s Day in the Mountains! I’ve condensed our Mother’s Day experience to the first part of the post, so if you’re just here for the FASHION, you can find that towards the middle. 20+ PLANT BASED SPRING RECIPES

Spring is definitely in the air… can you feel it?! The weather is absolutely beautiful here in Calgary as we approach Spring Equinox — and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’ve been taking every opportunity to get outside to enjoy long walks, runs and hikes as I work towards my health and wellness goals. Each year as we transition into spring, I also find myself lightening up our meals and incorporating lots of fresh, seasonal produce, edible flowers and bright, herbaceous flavours! Over the last couple of years I’ve begun publishing seasonal recipe roundups here at JustineCelina — and in reviewing my archives, was surprised to discover that I hadn’t yet created a spring version. So, I’ve scoured my virtual recipe box to compile my favourite 20+ Plant Based Spring Recipes across culinary categories, from breakfast through happy hour! If you’re looking for some healthy, veggie-centric (and largely vegan), spring meal ideas utilizing all the gorgeous seasonal produce available to us from March though June, you’ve come to the right place!

While I’m perpetually testing new recipes, I’ve also published a solid repertoire of spring-inspired eats over the past 6 years (some of which are Wild Rose D-Tox Friendly!). WINTER / SPRING 2020 LOOKBOOK + CONTENT UPDATE

Hey, friends. How’s everyone doing? Wow — what an intense couple of months its been! If you keep up with me on Instagram (and if you don’t, I’d love for you to join me!), you may have some insight into how quickly life has changed here in Calgary as a result of COVID-19. It’s crazy to think that we started shooting my Winter / Spring 2020 Lookbook back in February when the world was a completely different place — I was still planning outfits for all the different personal and professional situations I would typically find myself in as we transition from winter to spring. Things evolved rapidly, so I polled you on Instagram Stories to see if you’d still like to see this LOOKBOOK — and 100% of you responded yes! That said, as we heed the advice of local authorities to stay in whenever possible, I feel it’s important to share we shot these images nearly 2 months ago — and I’ve been working from home ever since to get this post ready.

Today, I’m thrilled to finally share my Winter / Spring 2020 Lookbook with you! If you’re in search of a sartorial escape from reality and a look at a handful of my favourite winter-to-spring transitional trends mashed up with wardrobe staples and practical outfit formulas, you’ve come to the right place. SPRING / SUMMER 2019 LOOKBOOK

Friends and fashionistas, I’m elated to finally share my SPRING / SUMMER 2019 LOOKBOOK with you! Despite a few delays due to our crazy weather (believe it or not, it snowed in Calgary just a few weeks ago!) we finally wrapped up shooting earlier this month and I’ve since been hard at work creating this seasonally inspired, sartorial guide for the modern woman. My 12 outfit LOOKBOOK features everything I’ve been wearing and loving in both personal and professional settings over the last couple of months and as we transition into summer! As always, it’s complete with a healthy dose of seasonal trends and practical tips on how to wear them, mashed up with classic wardrobe staples and shoppable links at every pricepoint — including the inside scoop on the best sales of the season! It’s been a major labour of love and I hope it’s been worth the wait!

Now that summer is officially upon us (although there’s no end in sight to the rain here in Calgary!), many of us Canadian girls are finally packing away our boots and knits and pulling out our warm weather pieces from years past. I always like to take this time to clean out my closet, identify holes in my seasonal wardrobe, integrate a few updated basics and experiment with new trends.
