It’s Peony season and I bet you’re just as excited as we are! Peonies are some of our favourite flowers — so, to welcome the first month of summer here at JustineCelina, our June DIGITAL BLOOMS are dedicated to Peonies and flowering trees! The trees have finally started to blossom here in Calgary and this month we did a bit of urban foraging, capturing local Apple and Mayflower blossoms to compliment our stunning Coral Sunset and Snowball Peonies. Our 3 free June 2017 Free Desktop Wallpapers bring the best of our spring landscape straight to your tech so you can enjoy these gorgeous blooms all summer long!
The pink craze continues here at JustineCelina this month, as does the obsession with the Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report. This June, Rebeca Dawn Design and I are crazy for watercolour inspired hues of soft coral, warm violet and creamy white juxtaposed with fresh greens. We kept our designs simple to let the exquisite beauty of our Coral Sunset Peonies sing (seriously — have you ever seen a more beautiful flower?!). If you love Peonies and soft, pastel hues, click through to download June’s tech wallpapers to the background of your computer, tablet or phone — absolutely free! And if you’d like to learn more about Peonies this season, stay tuned for an All About Peonies FLOWER EDUCATION post hitting the blog later this month.
Flower children, welcome back for another installment in our FLOWER EDUCATION series! Today Rebecca Dawn Design and I couldn’t be more excited to share this Blushing Spring Arrangement with you — it’s sweet, fragrant and right on trend for Spring 2017 (nope, I’m not even close to being done with the Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report!). Although I love each of the arrangements and bouquets Rebecca and I create, I have to say — this one is my all time favourite!
Blush tones are a huge trend this spring and its been so much fun translating seasonal colour inspiration across categories. This season, blush, peach and neutral tones have been present in my BEAUTY content and I can’t stop wearing blush inspired neutrals at the moment (they’ll be popping up in my next FASHION post!). Not only are blush and neutral toned blooms perfectly on trend, but the exquisite variety of shades that mother natures provides for us each spring is truly nothing short of amazing. Embrace the season with us today as we chat about our favourite spring blooms and flowering branches in this Blushing Spring Arrangement — including dreamy, oversized Japanese Ranunculus, standard Ranunculus, Quicksand Roses, Lisianthus, Hyacinths and fragrant Magnolia branches hailing from Canada’s west coast! Rebecca also shares her expert flowering branch foraging and care tips to inspire you to enjoy the beauty of the season in your home this spring.
I’ve been dreaming this post up since I first started blogging here at JustineCelina — and I’m elated to finally be able to share it with you today! Typically, people associate the mountains with wildflowers, but our Canadian prairies are brimming with wildflowers and gorgeous natural foliage, too. Rebecca loves to create foraged arrangements and bouquets whenever she travels, so I was excited to explore the prairies with her in search of some inspiring ingredients for our Foraged Prairie Wildflower Bouquet! Come along with us today as we forage the lush prairies near my childhood home in rural Alberta and Rebecca creates this absolutely stunning, no cost bouquet. She’s also sharing her expert prairie foraging tips and guidelines to inspire your next weekend adventure!

In addition to being my friend, she’s also one of the industry’s most talented flower designers and a fantastic teacher. I’ve learned so much being able to work alongside her and I couldn’t be happier or more excited to be able to share it with all of you! Today Rebecca is spilling her flower design tips and insider tricks as Milton Photography captures it all on film — so grab a notepad and a glass of wine and let’s learn how to arrange flowers together!
If you’re looking for some serenity on this Sunday afternoon you’ve come to the right place! Today’s post is a super relaxed one where I’m sharing my must-haves for natural, airy, summer style. These are the wardrobe staples I truly feel most comfortable in and like to throw on when I’m just chilling out! Whether I’m dressed up or dressed down I’ve always had a major soft spot for light, flowy fabrics and natural textures. I’ve been living in these breezy basics during my time in the prairies this summer — I know I can throw them on when comfort is a must, but so is looking cute and pulled together. I also chat about stepping up my casual shoe game and share my current favourite pair for weekend adventures! Take a break from the hustle of everyday life for a few minutes, pour yourself a cup of tea and come hang out amoung the fields of wheat and trickling streams near my childhood home in rural Alberta!

Summer is officially here and I can’t think of a better reason to pick up a bottle of wine and invite your friends over for dinner! Tonight’s post is a fun and feminine tablescape I created with Rebecca Dawn Design to celebrate the dawn of summer. Inspired by the merging seasons we’ve combined the blossoming branches of spring with summer’s colourful blooms, accented with aztec textiles, gold accents and of course some rosé — because I can’t be stopped! I’m also sharing my tips for pulling together an eclectic tablescape with budget friendly and thrifted decor, because I believe unique celebrations don’t have to come with an extravagant price tag. Come gather around my dining table and let’s chat summer entertaining!
