The time of year has come when winter really seems to drag on. Despite actually having pretty nice weather until late January, the past few weeks the have left a lot to be desired (I was snowed in for 3 days last week!). Mid February is typically when I start to crave the more free flowing, bohemian silhouettes and styles I love to wear during warmer weather — and this year, I was determined to wear those dresses and get really creative with my layering, despite the sub zero temps and snow storms! So today, I’m sharing a new post in my HOW TO STYLE series — and this time, I’m chatting about fresh ways to style your midi dresses for winter, incorporating a mashup of winter and spring trends with wardrobe staples in a boho chic look you can wear right now!
So ladies, dust off your midi dresses (mine is on clearance for just $19!) and come hang out with me for a little while on this snowy long weekend as I share my favourite outfit building tips, styling hacks and winter layering techniques to keep you feeling stylish and cozy at the same time! I’m also chatting about a handful of Winter / Spring 2018 trends — including 60’s inspired florals, teddy textures, fringe, longline layers, scrunched boots and a few of my favourite transitional beauty products. I hope this post inspires you to reconsider taking those all those gorgeous dresses lingering in the depths of your closet out for a pre-spring spin this February! If you’re stuck in a fashion rut somewhere between winter and spring, this post is for you!
Hey hey, you beautiful humans! Welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post — and the last one of 2017 (I’m still having a hard time believing the year is almost over!). For a completely different change of pace, my November 2017 Beauty Favourites are relatively short ‘n sweet, containing just 6 products — it was a busy month for me, with lots of events and even more behind the scenes work on some larger projects (which I’m excited to share with you in the New Year!). That said, I tend to stick with what I know beauty-wise when I’m short on time — but I did place a new Colourpop order and discovered my favourite palette of 2017 (doesn’t hurt that it’s just $16.00, either!). Last month my lip product choices were all over the map and I didn’t have a particular shade or formula I reached for consistently, but I did discover (and rediscover) a handful of body care, fragrance and nail products!
If you’re looking for some transitional beauty recommendations that will carry you through the holiday season, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m sharing a budget friendly palette full of stunning, metallic neutrals, a glitzy, plum toned blush, the perfect cool weather polish that goes with everything, a nourishing, multi purpose oil for the hair and skin, a delicious lip scrub to give your winter pout a little extra TLC and a luxurious transitional fragrance perfect for December’s festivities. If you have a few minutes to spare on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, find a cozy reading nook and let’s dive into a few of my favourite things — I’ve even included a few holiday gifting ideas for the beauty lovers in your life!

You guys, I seriously can’t believe Canadian Thanksgiving is this weekend! 2017 just is flying by. Every month when it comes time to round up my picks for these Monthly Beauty Favourites posts, it’s hard to believe it’s been a month since my last! As I mentioned, September was the busiest month of the year for me both personally and professionally — but I actually discovered quite a few new beauty products, as well as rekindled the flame with a few long time favourites. My September 2017 Beauty Favourites span categories here at JustineCelina — it’s an eclectic, cross category mixture of products at every price point!

Last month my favourite products included a foundation and lipgloss from Rhianna’s new makeup brand (yes, I too got caught up in the FENTY hype!), to a new, anti-aging eye gel from Paula’s Choice (there were a lot of late nights and early mornings in September!), a bold, spicy orange liquid lip that I seem to gravitate to every autumn, a budget friendly, nudish lipliner with an autumnal spin, a stunning copper eyeshadows (a must for us green eyed gals!), a very well loved three-in-one volumizer, texturizer, and dry shampoo that smells absolutely heavenly, a sensual, cozy fall fragrance and another set of amazing, natural looking lashes from my favourite lash brand (they’re brand new for A/W17 and you can find them at Walmart!). If the changing leaves have inspired you to refresh your beauty routine this fall, you’ll love my September 2017 Beauty Favourites!
Welcome back for another SUMMER 2017 TREND GUIDE, everyone! It’s been a beautiful summer here in Calgary and personally, I’m not even close to being ready for fall. I said the same thing last summer, but fall doesn’t officially arrive for over a month and I’m in absolutely no rush to get there. So while the fashion industry (and many fellow bloggers ) are gearing up for autumn, here at JustineCelina I’m planning to enjoy summer for as long as possible! You can expect one more SUMMER 2017 TREND GUIDE later this month, along with a new post in my WHAT TO WEAR TOseries — this time, I’m styling a look for late summer weddings.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves! My goal through publishing these TREND GUIDES is to keep you (and myself!) up to speed on the latest trends while also staying true to my personal style. And I’m sure by now, you must understand my love of white, stripes and oversized straw bags! Although this look features a lot of the same trends as my Spring 2017 Trend Guide | Casual Chic (which I styled for more professional settings), this is a look I’d typically reserve for weekends. And if I’m honest, I’ve repeated this exact outfit several times already this summer! Hang onto summer a little longer today as I chat about how to style breezy stripes, summer whites, embellished straw bags (I actually DIYed this one!), straw, rattan and jute accessories, espadrilles and boho braids in this relaxed weekend look!
