Hey hey, you beautiful humans! Welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post — and the last one of 2017 (I’m still having a hard time believing the year is almost over!). For a completely different change of pace, my November 2017 Beauty Favourites are relatively short ‘n sweet, containing just 6 products — it was a busy month for me, with lots of events and even more behind the scenes work on some larger projects (which I’m excited to share with you in the New Year!). That said, I tend to stick with what I know beauty-wise when I’m short on time — but I did place a new Colourpop order and discovered my favourite palette of 2017 (doesn’t hurt that it’s just $16.00, either!). Last month my lip product choices were all over the map and I didn’t have a particular shade or formula I reached for consistently, but I did discover (and rediscover) a handful of body care, fragrance and nail products!
If you’re looking for some transitional beauty recommendations that will carry you through the holiday season, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m sharing a budget friendly palette full of stunning, metallic neutrals, a glitzy, plum toned blush, the perfect cool weather polish that goes with everything, a nourishing, multi purpose oil for the hair and skin, a delicious lip scrub to give your winter pout a little extra TLC and a luxurious transitional fragrance perfect for December’s festivities. If you have a few minutes to spare on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, find a cozy reading nook and let’s dive into a few of my favourite things — I’ve even included a few holiday gifting ideas for the beauty lovers in your life!
I’m back tonight with the first of many AUTUMN 2017 TREND GUIDES coming to JustineCelina this year and I couldn’t be more excited to share it! I look different — and I certainly feel different as well. Since taking the plunge and indulging in the eyelash skimming fringe I’d been lusting after since the summer, I’m finding myself completely renergized when it comes to all things fashion, style and beauty. So, we’re changing things up around here — this TREND GUIDE is dedicated to refreshing your personal style for a new season! In addition to diving head first into a handful of this season’s hottest trends, I’m also sharing my favourite ways to revitalize my look without breaking the bank (I shopped my own closet to pull this look together — gotta love that!).
Have the changing seasons left you craving change, as well? Girl, you’re in good company — pour yourself a delicious, juicy glass of red wine and hang out with me for a little while tonight while we chat about sleek locks, red, checks (plaid’s sophisticated sister!), ruffles, soft leather and bad ass boots in this unconventional autumn look. I’m also sharing some tips on how to style this look for a professional settings, simply by changing up a few pieces! Oh, and that archaic rule about no white after Labour Day? We don’t worry about that around here!
Well hello, beautiful souls! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it?! Not to worry — I’m back today with another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! The first part of September has been very busy with client work, so this post is coming to you a little late. That said, it’s packed full of some great new beauty finds and rediscovered products across eye, cheek, lip, complexion and nail categories, so I hope it was worth the wait. I’m definitely starting to transition into more autumnal makeup but have been enjoying lighter, fresher lip colours — so I guess we have a little bit of a summer-meets-fall vibe happening again today (there’s definitely a theme here at JustineCelina this month!).
Settle in on this crisp, late summer evening and let’s chat about everything I’ve loved putting on my face (and nails) lately! My August 2017 Beauty Favourites including the ultimate warm eyeshadow lovers dream palette, a natural, neutral lip liner that goes with everything, a luxurious, extremely unique lip cream, a fantastic lipstick for everyday wear as we transition into fall, the most heavenly drugstore bronzer I’ve ever worn, the perfect rosy blush in one of my all time favourite formulas and a decadent berry polish with nail helping, healthy ingredients (it’s infused with kale!). If you’re looking to incorporate a touch of autumn into your beauty routine, I have so many fantastic recommendations for you today!
I’m strutting into September with fresh installment in my COLOUR CRUSH series for this transitional time of year! Today I’m sharing a versatile look that I’ve worn many times this summer in both personal and professional settings — and I’m also showing you how to style it into the first days of autumn. I’m planning to enjoy summer for as long as I possibly can — the weather is exceptionally beautiful here in Calgary (there was actually a heat warning on the day we shot this post and it was 34 °C!) and therefore I’m going to utilize every possible opportunity to wear sandals and open toed shoes (Canadian girls, I know you feel me)!
In this pre-fall look, I’m merging a handful of key trends from Summer / Autumn 2017 — including orange, butterum, eyelet, embroidery, cork and natural textured accessories, bright whites, strappy sandals and tailored, wide leg trousers. I’m finally showing off my birthday present here at JustineCelina (to myself, from myself!) — the absolutely stunning, Gaia’s Ark Bamboo Clutch (which has been on heavy rotation in my summer wardrobe but hasn’t yet made it to the blog!). I’m also sharing autumn styling options by simply changing up my accessories to include an office appropriate, daytime bag that doubles as a briefcase, gorgeous tasseled pumps a classic watch! And last but not least, it’s that time of year again — today I’m introducing you to the PANTONE Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report and chatting about how you can incorporate fall colour trends into your wardrobe right now to extend the life of your favourite summer pieces as we transition into autumn. If you’re not quite sure what to wear during this time of year, hang out with me today for some fresh ideas and outfit inspiration as I style this colourful look for both seasons!
Hey beautiful people — welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites! June was a fun month here at JustineCelina, packed with events, roadtrips, and absolutely gorgeous weather. Summer has definitely arrived in Calgary and I’ve been taking every opportunity I can to get outside and enjoy it! In June I experimented with a lot of seasonal trends in the beauty department and really pushed the boundaries of what type of what type of products I incorporated into my routine. It creative month for me beauty wise — and it was a blast!

Man it feels good to publish this May 2017 Beauty Favourites post! Since I spent a large part of March barefaced due to my finger injury and published my first ever completely makeup free Monthly Beauty Favourites post, this past month I really enjoyed experimenting with makeup again and discovered so many incredible new products. May was packed full of events (both blog related and personal) and I took every available opportunity to get my glam on — so you’ll find a healthy dose of glow and sparkle in my May beauty favourites! There’s range of products at affordable and luxury price points in today’s post — including a stunning rose gold highlighter (for less than $5!), my favourite lipsticks of the entire year, a bargain, go-with-anything nude lipliner, the perfect blush palette for a youthful spring flush, some extremely luxurious eyeshadows, a pastel lilac nail polish with nourishing ingredients and a metallic, glittery liquid eyeshadow!
There’s a strong peach, pink and rose gold theme in my favourites today — what can I say, I’ve been immersing myself in seasonal colour trends in full force! Today’s Monthly Beauty Favourites is a bit different from the norm — believe it or not, there’s no makeup included! With my finger injury derailing the past couple of weeks, to be completely honest, putting on makeup when I didn’t need to wasn’t high on my priority list. Since I spent half of April laying low and healing up, as you can imagine it was pretty low key beauty wise! For the first part of the month, I immersed myself in fragrance for my Spring / Summer 2017 Fragrance Edit and was in final testing stages for the Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème post I published mid month. Other than that, experimenting with new beauty products when everything took at least twice as long to do with an injured finger just didn’t interest me — so I took some much needed, makeup free downtime. It was refreshing!
For a completely different change of pace, my April 2017 Beauty Favourites posts is short and sweet with just 3 products included — but they’re 3 products I used almost daily this past month. Learn more about an indulgent, natural, vegan lotion, a stunning new fragrance (those of you who’ve been following along with my Insta Stories recently may already know what I’m talking about!) and a great eyelash curler. And not to worry — my makeup loving little soul is already into some incredible new beauty products this month that you’ll be hearing all about in my May Beauty Favourites!
