Whenever I’m chatting beauty with someone, the most common question I’m asked what my favourite high end products are from different categories! I’ve always wanted to create a post that my readers, friends and family members can use as their ultimate resource to inform their luxury beauty purchases. Well my friends, today is the day! I’ve partnered with Sephora Canada to share a comprehensive guide of my all-time-favourite Luxury Products Worth the Splurge — the ones in my stash that I couldn’t live without, have repurchased multiple times, use frequently on others, or that have completely wowed me lately!

Are looking for supercharged ingredients take your skincare routine to the next level? Well my friends, this post is for you! If you’re new to the world of chemical exfoliants, vitamin C, niacinamide, retinol and daily SPF you’re in for some serious education — today I’m sharing 5 Powerhouse Skincare Ingredients that make the biggest difference in the overall appearance and clarity of my skin.
Many of you may not know this, but I had horrible skin in my early and mid 20’s (read more about my skin story). What’s even worse is how awful it made me feel. Those of you who’ve experienced (or are experiencing) skin issues know that there’s nothing worse than not feeling comfortable in your own skin. So, a few years ago I set out a quest to educate myself about skincare and finally found a routine that gives me happy, healthy skin. It still feels so strange when I’m complimented on my skin, or when people think I’m much younger than I actually am. Today I’m sharing everything I know about skincare ingredients that deliver fast, supercharged results! I hope it aids you in taking the absolute best care of your skin and feeling more confident, empowered and beautiful.
Welcome back, beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my March Beauty Favourites — where I gravitated towards cooler, purple tones on the eyes, pastel nails, luminous skin and peachy lips. Inside, you’ll find a stunning eyeshadow palette that’s especially flattering on green eyes, a great serum foundation for under $20, a blush that gives you a pretty spring flush, a natural looking, luminous bronzer, my favourite periwinkle nail polish and a pretty, cool-toned rose gold eyeliner. I also chat a bit about gel polish at home (hey — I like to DIY it when I can!) and colour theory in beauty. If you didn’t know, I went to art school so that definitely translates into my beauty obsession — to me, makeup is an art form and just another way to express myself. I also mention my favourite peach lip, which has been on major repeat this month and I think would suit just about anyone. If you’re looking for some Sunday reading material, curl up with me and let’s chat spring beauty!
There’s nothing like going through your whole makeup stash for a yearly beauty favourites post to discover some new favourites and inspire you! In January I was all over the map in terms of the colours I wore, and it was a very experimental month for me, makeup wise. Since I come from an artistic background (if you didn’t know, I went to art college), I approach my makeup like I would a painting or drawing — I’m just painting and drawing on my face! I’ve always loved beauty so much because it’s a way for me to combine my passions. Like fashion, it’s a form of self-expression for me. I was the little girl who was always playing around in my Mom’s makeup, and giving friends makeovers during my adolescence! My January 2016 Beauty Favourites are full of rich, warm shades, violets and rosy hues. I also discovered a very natural-looking, gradual self tanner that gives you a the perfect amount of colour for winter!
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a skincare post, so today I wanted to bring you a review of my new favourite eye cream — the Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Eye Cream! Whenever I test a product out, I use it for as long as it takes for me to really understand how the product works, and see the results the product claims. I’ve been using this eye cream for the past two months, and I really love it! If you’ve been with me for awhile, and are familiar with my Skincare 101 post (where I walk you through my entire skincare routine), you may be a bit confused about by why I’m using a specific eye cream — because in that post I mention that you can use any well formulated eye cream around the eyes. And while that’s true, Paula’s Choice set out to create ‘the best eye cream possible’ to answer consumer demand (watch the video about Paula addressing the subject here). Their customers were looking for a product specifically formulated for the delicate eye area, so Paula’s Choice answered back. And I just had to try the best eye cream possible!
Today I’m reviewing a new skincare item from Paula’s Choice — their Resist Hyaluronic Acid Booster (spoiler alert — I love it!). If you’re unfamiliar with Hyaluronic Acid, basically it’s a skin-identical ingredient that helps to boost skin’s moisture content, plump skin and smooth wrinkles. I’ve been using the Resist Hyaluronic Acid Booster mixed with my eye cream for just over a month now — and wow, what a difference it’s made!
Summer is here and I’ve been rocking a bit of a sun-kissed glow lately… that isn’t actually from the sun at all. Today I’m sharing how to get a gorgeous summer glow using sunless tanning products! As a half-Irish girl, I’ve learned a lot about self tanning over the years — any colour I have comes from a bottle, not the sun. I’m also sharing a couple of my favourite SPF products today. So kick back, whip yourself up a tropical cocktail and let’s chat about safe sunless tanning (and some cute bikinis)!
