DIGITAL BLOOMS APRIL 2017 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS + DIGITAL BLOOMS TURNS 1!

April 1st is an exciting day here at JustineCelina headquarters — it’s been exactly 1 year since Rebecca Dawn Design and I teamed up to create the first edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS for you! There have been so many milestones to celebrate this past month, but this is a very special one. I feel incredibly grateful to continue to work with Rebecca to bring FLOWER content to JustineCelina and make flower education accessible. We are so very lucky to be able to learn from the best!

To set the tone the 1st Anniversary Edition of Digital Blooms, we drew inspiration from the Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report. Blush, neutral and muted tones are trending this spring — and they just happen some of mine and Rebecca’s favourites! April 2017’s 3 digital wallpapers feature an array of quintessential spring blooms including Ranunculus (and those gorgeous, oversized Japanese Ranunculus!), Lisianthus, Hellebores and Pieris set to a spring inspired palette of soft blush, peach and mauve shades. This set just screams spring to me! While Calgary isn’t blossoming quite yet, we hope you enjoy our interpretation of spring flowers digitally. MY 2ND BLOGIVERSARY + 10 THINGS I LEARNED IN MY SECOND YEAR OF BLOGGING

Today’s post has literally been 1 year in the making! March 2, 2017 marked my 2nd Blogiversary. Can you believe it? So here we are — just over 2 years, 218 blog posts, 400 000 views, 100 000 images and 2 000 comments later, I’m sharing my My 2nd Blogiversary + 10 Things I Learned in my Second Year of Blogging!

Part of the reason I love blogging is that I have bookmarks into specific time periods of my life (albeit, a small portion of it). It’s so interesting to look back and reflect on where I was 1 year ago versus where I am now. Today’s post is different than last years Blogiversary celebration — because I’m different. This is a quite an introspective, raw post set to the theme of growth and change, which is also my overarching theme for March to welcome spring. This year, I wanted my Blogiversary to feel exactly how it would if we just hanging out as friends, sharing a glass of wine and having a conversation about the last year of this crazy journey of mine. It’s not the shiny production that last year’s post was — and it feels just right. Relaxed, casual, and simply more me at this specific moment (just as last year’s post felt like me at that specific moment). DIGITAL BLOOMS MARCH 2017 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

It’s March 1st and that means it’s time for another installment of DIGITAL BLOOMS, where I team up with my friend and ultra talented flower designer Rebecca Dawn Design each month to create 3 free desktop wallpapers! Except… plot twist — this month, there aren’t any flowers! March is going to be an incredibly exciting month here at JustineCelina for a few reasons — first, it’s my Blogiversary month (I hit publish on my very first post almost 2 years ago!), it’s the first month of spring (hallelujah!) and I have some amazing plans in the works (including travel — and you’re coming with me!). I think you may be able to tell from all the exclamation points in this paragraph just how thrilled I am to be able to share all of this with you!

March seems like the perfect time to celebrate Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2017, Greenery (are you sick of hearing me yammer on about Greenery yet?!), by incorporating this refreshing and revitalizing shade, symbolic of new beginnings, into March’s Digital Blooms. Pantone coined 2017’s it hue as ‘nature’s neutral’ and this month we’re showing it off with an array of exotic green foliage! While we may not see the first signs of spring’s natural greenery in Calgary this month, we can refresh our digital devices with this reviving, restoring and renewing hue. DIGITAL BLOOMS FEBRUARY 2017 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

We’re embracing love month in full force here at JustineCelina with February’s DIGITAL BLOOMS! Each of our 3 free desktop wallpapers feature a romantic, feminine, uplifting palette and the classic elegance of Roses complimented with cheerful Ranunculus (cause you know I love ’em!) and vibrant Hellebores. Roses are a timeless symbol of love, but did you know they also hold special significance based on their colour? This month, Rebecca Dawn Design selected some exquisite rose varieties for us to work with — including Vendela, Quick Sand, Mother of Pearl, Cappuccino, Precious Moments, Roseberry and Spray Roses. I bet you’ve never seen anything like them!

AN ECLECTIC GLOBALLY INSPIRED ARRANGEMENT

While I’m all for embracing the crisp, snowy aesthetic of our Canadian winters, towards the end of January I find myself craving some serious colour! One of my favourite things about fresh flowers is their ability to infuse any space with their radiant energy and a cheerful pops of colour — so I thought it was the perfect time to share the inspiration behind this Eclectic Globally Inspired Arrangement Rebecca created for our Cozy Girls Night In (it’s awesome to have a friend that’s also a brilliant flower designer!).

This eclectic arrangement is a true melting pot of colour, texture and origin — showcasing blooms and greenery from Australia, South Africa, South America and Madagascar united with seasonal Snowberries foraged near Fernie, British Columbia for a unique, global flair!
