Happy love day, friends! This year, I’m putting a PANTONE 2019 Colour of the Year spin on Valentine’s celebrations with a warm, pink-hued introduction to all things Living Coral! By now, you’ve likely heard about 2019’s hottest hue — either here at JustineCelina, or elsewhere online. As a creative professional, I’ve followed PANTONE (the global colour authority for creative industries) for inspiration my entire career. In fact, I even have a section dedicated to them here on the blog to categorize all my PANTONE inspired work throughout the years! As someone who’s very inspired by colour, I love to stay informed about the latest colour trends and allow them to inspire, challenge and push my creative work.
As you can probably imagine, I’m particularly passionate about PANTONE’s selection for 2019! If you’re craving a serious dose of colour to help see you through these final wintery months as we (slowly but surely!) transition into spring, today’s post is an ode to Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year. Get ready for a mega dose of Living Coral inspiration — including my favourite ideas to inspire you to incorporate this beautifully vibrant and energetic hue into your personal style, home decor, plants, flowers, beauty routine and even your food and drink this year!
Will you be our Valentine?! In honour of love month, Rebecca Dawn Design and I have created the dreamiest bed of roses inspired by Pantone’s Pink Peacock and Sweet Lilac for the February 2019 edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS! This free-spirited, feminine wallpaper features an exquisite array of the finest roses available — including Vendela, Quick Sand, Mother of Pearl, Cappuccino, Precious Moments, Roseberry and spray varieties (learn all about them here), with a healthy dose of Ranunculus (learn all about them here) and Hellebores throw in for good measure!
Celebrate and share the love this month JustineCelina style by downloading February’s free tech wallpaper to infuse your (or your Valentine’s!) computer, tablet or phone with a romantic, whimsical touch! We hope these playful florals inspired by February’s quintessential flower and Pantone’s SS19 Fashion Colour Trend Report bring a little extra joy to your life this month. Your bed of roses awaits, lovers!
Flower lovers, welcome back for the first post of 2018! Rebecca Dawn Design and I are kicking 2019 off with a fresh installment of DIGITAL BLOOMS celebrating the softer side of winter with a dreamy, neutral palette of blush, cream and sage juxtaposed with dramatic berry. We’re also dipping our toes into Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year, Living Coral — described as an animated and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. Our beautiful Keira Garden Rose’s petals feature a kiss of this year’s hottest hue!
And now, for some blog housekeeping! In an effort to work smarter, streamline my workflows (more on this in an upcoming 2019 goals post) and keep my DIGITAL BLOOMS free, in 2019 I’ll be releasing one tech wallpaper each month here at JustineCelina, rather than the three I’ve offered previously. You can still expect this post on the first of each month, however, I’ll be focusing on creating three designs to represent each season. This January, the first of our WINTER free tech wallpaper includes stunning Keira Garden Roses (learn all about roses), Ranunculus (learn all about ranunculus), Blushing Bride Proteas and foraged berries. Start 2019 fresh by giving your tech a clean, minimalistic makeover and enjoy January’s Digital Blooms on the background of your computer, tablet or phone all month long — completely free!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year — and this December, Rebecca Dawn Design and I are here for all your festive, floral Free Tech Wallpapers needs with a very merry edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS! Each holiday season, we look forward to coming up with fresh festive inspiration, taking cues from current colour trends and the wintery seasonal blooms available to us. In year past we’ve gone moody and luxe and cool and crisp — but believe it or not, we’ve never actually gone classic and worked with red hues. So this year, we went semi-traditional with a palette of vibrant red, snowy white, sage green and deep berry, inspired by the familiar holiday hues present in Pantone’s Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report. For a bit of juxtaposition, we’ve gone really playful with our designs — this year, choose from a whimsical tree, jubilant wreath or playful snowman (he’s so cute!) to adorn your tech this holiday season!
December’s Free Tech Wallpapers feature a festive medley of classic, red and white Ranunculus, ethereal Blushing Bride Proteas, Delano Chrysanthemums, cheerful red and moody black berries and a few foraged vines and twigs! Alright beautiful people, we’re back action! First things first, if you’ve been wondering why November’s DIGITAL BLOOMS are so delayed, please give my last post a read. To summarize: as a result of the massive tech nightmare I experienced over the past month, I lost about 4 months worth of edited imagery (my entire Lightroom catalogue from July 16th onward) — but I did have all my raw files backed up on an external hard drive. Thankfully, that meant our AW18 DIGITAL BLOOMS were safe and sound! While I still have a substantial amount of work to do to get back up and running at full capacity, I wanted to get November’s Free Tech Wallpapers out for you as soon as possible. Onwards and upwards!
This month, Rebecca Dawn Design and I have explored autumn’s moodier side by combining the rich jewel tones of foraged seasonal berries and classic fall Mums with a earthy melange of fall foliage, peppered with ethereal Thrytptomene flowers. Pantone’s Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report is still inspiring our floral and sartorial choices this season — but November has us lusting after Red Pear, Ceylon Yellow, Martini Olive, Russet Orange, Sargasso Sea, Almond Buff and Meerkat. Give your tech an free autumnal makeover with November’s DIGITAL BLOOMS and be sure to share the love and show us how you’re using them on the background of your devices by hashtagging #justinecelinadigitalblooms! Thanks for your patience with this month’s installment, everyone.
Who’s ready to deck their tech out for fall?! This month, Rebecca Dawn Design and I have incorporated a seasonal medley of autumn’s breathtaking tones and textures with an inspired assortment of fall foliage, produce and flowers in our October Free Tech Wallpapers! Never before in our 2 and a half years of creating monthly DIGITAL BLOOMS have we been able to catch the changing leaves at the peak of their beauty — we foraged Rebecca’s backyard for a fresh selection of seasonal goodness just before we shot our AW18 flower content and it was so much fun working with what nature provided for us. This cozy colour story is inspired by the sophisticated earthtones present in the Pantone Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report, including Red Pear, Valiant Poppy, Ceylon Yellow, Martini Olive, Russet Orange, Tofu, Almond Buff and Meerkat.
This October we’ve curated an earth toned assortment of Dahlias, Amaranthus, Sedum, Chrysanthemum Poms, Ornamental White Pumpkins, Crabapples, Hops and an array of leaves and berries foraged from our changing Calgary landscape. Celebrate the beauty of the season and bring the pumpkin patch to your digital device by clicking through to download October’s DIGITAL BLOOMS — absolutely free! And don’t forget to share your beautified tech with us using #justinecelinadigitalblooms or tagging me on social media — we love to see them in action and I always highlight my favourites on Insta Stories!
Hello, September! Eager to embrace autumn’s arrival later this month while fully enjoying the last days of summer, Rebecca Dawn Design and I have blended the best of both seasons in this month’s Free Tech Wallpapers! September’s DIGITAL BLOOMS are heavily inspired by the Pantone Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report (expect to hear a lot more about it here at JustineCelina over the next few months), arranged with a whimsical touch. Working with a rich transitional palette of Red Pear, Ultra Violet, Russet Orange, Limelight, Sargasso Sea, Tofu and Quiet Grey, we created 3 floral designs that bridge the gap between my two favourite seasons beautifully!
This month, you’ll find a few of our all time favourite flowers at play — including Ranunculus (which all about them here!), Garden Roses and Anemones (learn all about them here), complimented by a peppering of fresh Scabiosa and velvety Dusty Miller.
