MARCH 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES + BLOG HOUSEKEEPING

Hey guys — welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! As you may have gathered, the last couple of months have been intense BEAUTY wise here at JustineCelina — I’m elated to continue my partnership with Sephora Canada into 2017 and have been testing products like crazy. I’ve also been testing new drugstore products as well (if you joined me over on Insta Stories one random Friday afternoon last month where I unboxed and gave my first impressions on a ton of new goodies I picked up from Wet n Wild, you know what I’m talking about!). My March 2017 Beauty Favourites are a mixture of new high end obsessions and new drugstore obsessions — there’s something for everyone!

And now, for some blog housekeeping. Back in my New Year, New Goals: Cultivating a Balanced 2017 post, I mentioned a number of things I was investigating to aid me in working smarter this year. I’ve been experimenting with new structures, programs, workflows and tools behind the scenes here at JustineCelina this year — and you’ll see the first of the changes roll out in today’s post (I’m excited to share them with you — but I’m still learning, so it’s a work in progress!). There’s just something about the changing leaves and dropping temperatures that always nudges me to channel my inner boho babe — so today I’m elated to bring you 6 Luxe Bohemian Fall Outfits with a modern, elegant flair! MY TOP 5 PUMPKIN SPICE LIPSTICKS

Fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons — but something I look forward to each year is pulling out all my favourite warm, cozy lip colours (and trying a few new ones!) to mark the change in seasons. Last autumn as I was organizing my vanity for the season, I noticed a major theme — all of my most-worn autumn lip colours had a very similar, pumpkin spice inspired colour story (yes, I actually began working on My Top 5 Pumpkin Spice Lipsticks post last fall!). Although I may be the only woman on the planet who isn’t into Pumpkin Spice Lattes (shocking, I know!), I can definitely appreciate the inspiration behind this quintessentially autumnal beverage. So naturally, I thought this concept would make a fantastic addition to my seasonal BEAUTY content here at JustineCelina! I absolutely love to embrace each season as fully as possible — whether it be in my personal style, beauty routine, home or what I choose to nourish my body with. While a lot has changed in 2020, my love of fall beauty remains — and although I’m not wearing as much makeup as I did pre-pandemic (or getting glammed up nearly as often), I still love to treat myself to a beautiful, seasonal makeup application for an instant confidence boost. How is November already upon us?! 2020 has simultaneously felt like the longest and shortest year of my life (as I’m sure many of you can relate!) — but, as always, I’m thrilled to usher in a fresh new month with a beautiful, seasonally-inspired floral wallpaper! November 2020’s Digital Blooms celebrates the height of autumn on the Alberta prairies with an unconventional melange of locally grown and foraged flowers, wild grasses, fall foliage and berries gathered from my flower-picking adventures at Bowden SunMaze & Eagle Creek Farms and our country property. Thanks to our warm, extended autumn this year we were treated to the most magnificent and colourful landscape transformation I’ve ever witnessed — and I discovered so many plants, berries and grasses I had no idea were growing wild on our acreage!

DIGITAL BLOOMS OCTOBER 2020 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER

Good morning, flower friends! I’m thrilled to bring you October 2020’s Free Floral Wallpaper today — featuring an entirely local selection of flowers, wild grasses and foraged prairie foliage in celebration of harvest season. Last month you read all about our trip to Bowden SunMaze & Eagle Creek Farms where I handpicked the flowers you’ll see in my Autumn 2020 Digital Blooms here at JustineCelina — and I couldn’t be more excited to begin sharing them with you! My first u-pick flower experience was absolutely magical and I had so much fun strolling up and down the rows, clippers in hand, curating ingredients for my upcoming FLOWER content. That weekend, I foraged our country property for wild additions as the fall colours were just starting to trickle in to the landscape — and I came home with a bucket full of wild grasses, berries and early autumn foliage to play with. I also spent the weekend painting some new custom backdrops in a palette inspired by the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 Colour Trend Report, which you’ll see in my content moving forward — starting with October 2020’s Digital Blooms!
