You guys, Colourpop did it again! If you’ve been with me for awhile you’ll know how much I love Colourpop Cosmetics — an innovative, affordable, cruelty-free makeup brand hailing from L.A. Last spring when their first line of liquid lipsticks launched, I loved them so much that I did a dedicated review post. And while I do still love the original Ultra Matte Lips, the liquid lipstick world has blown up over the last year — formulas have been perfected, colour ranges have expanded, and brands are really listening to what consumers are looking for. So, when I heard Colourpop launched an Ultra Satin Lip formula that was supposed to by less drying, you know I had to try it out! Okay, I think I have a bit of a pink problem! I promise this will be the last pink-themed blog post you’ll see (for awhile, anyway!). Today I’m sharing my favourite, romantic pink lipsticks for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been obsessed with pink in all forms lately, but I love pink lips at this time of year — they can be soft and sweet, or totally bold and daring, depending on the shade you choose! I’m crazy about the look of a bold pink lip with a simple, winged, lashy eye — I think it’s romantic and flirty. I truly feel beautiful and feminine in each of these shades! 6 MARSALA LIPSTICKS TO TRY THIS FALL

I’ve followed Pantone for colour inspiration my entire career. If you have no idea what I’m talking about — Pantone is the global colour authority for creative industries. They provide a colour system that ensures colour translates accurately across all mediums — whether it be in fashion, print, or in design. Creatives also look to them to predict colour trends. Basically, they know what’s up — and they keep everyone in the loop!

Every year, usually in early December, they announce their colour of the year — and for 2015 it’s Marsala! Marsala has a variety of shades and interpretations, all equally gorgeous. Pantone describes Marsala as ‘a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embrace warmth’ and ‘like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness’. Pantone also cites is as ‘flattering against many skin tones, sultry and subtle Marsala is a great go-to color for beauty’. I couldn’t agree more! Marsala lips are everywhere this fall, so today I’m sharing my six favourite Marsala lipsticks in a variety of shades, finishes and price points. COLOURPOP ULTRA MATTE LIP PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES

Today I’m chatting about my latest beauty obsession — the new Ultra Matte Lips from Colourpop! Currently there are 33 shades available, and I decided to pick up 10 from the range to try out. Colourpop’s Ultra Matte Lips retail at $6.00 USD for 0.11 oz., just a fraction of the cost of their high-end counterparts. Lately, it seems like every brand is coming out with their version of a liquid lipstick, and I’m generally a fan of liquid lipstick formulas — they dry to a flat matte finish and are super long wearing.
