SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE | CASUAL CHIC

I’m back today with another SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE for you — and this time, I’m styling 1 outfit 2 ways! If we’ve visited IRL lately, there’s a good chance I may have been wearing some iteration of this outfit (don’t think fashion bloggers don’t rewear their favourite outfits around different groups of people!). I’ve worn this Casual Chic look to meetings, to daytime events and also out to enjoy a glass of rosé on a sunny patio with friends in the evening — transitioning my outfit simply by changing up a few accessories and losing a layer! While I’d love to be frolicking in a field or on a mountaintop everyday of my life (I mean… who wouldn’t?!), I realize that’s just not realistic for the average woman and moving forward I’ll be showcasing the more professional side of my wardrobe here at JustineCelina as well.

While this outfit incorporates a handful of seasonal trends, it’s also such an easy one to wear — and one I think would suit almost every body shape. So beautiful people, kick back with me this weekend and let’s chat palazzo pants and 70’s inspired silhouettes, stripes, the new white shirt, cold shoulders, straw bags, wedges, vibrant lips, metallics and the difference between inexpensive and designer shades (I’m wearing my very first pair of designer sunglasses in this post and sharing my thoughts on whether or not they’re worth the splurge)!

SPRING 2017 TREND GUIDE | GINGHAM STYLE + MOTHER’S DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS

Welcome back for the first of many Spring / Summer 2017 TREND GUIDES coming to JustineCelina this season! Today we’re kicking things off with a bang — my Spring 2017 Trend Guide | Gingham Style was shot at 2900 feet atop Sulphur Mountain in the Canadian Rockies! Knowing my Mom was the woman behind the lens of my style content, my friends at Brewster Travel Canada reached out earlier this month, offering to treat us to a chocolate tasting and wine pairing at the Sky Bistro for Mother’s Day (how incredibly thoughtful is that?)! I’d been trying to mastermind a way to get my Mom to the mountains for Mother’s Day for quite some time, so when the opportunity to spend a day learning about chocolate from master chocolatier Bernard Callebaut presented itself, she simply couldn’t pass it up. We had the best time — I know many of you enjoyed coming along in my Insta Stories last weekend!

Today I’ll be sharing a few highlights from our day along with key seasonal trends — we’re talking yellow, red (and that Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report!), gingham, embroidery, flats, novelty denim and more. This post is part Spring 2017 Trend Guide | Gingham Style and part Mother’s Day in the Mountains! I’ve condensed our Mother’s Day experience to the first part of the post, so if you’re just here for the FASHION, you can find that towards the middle. TRANSITIONING THE TRENDS | AUTUMN TO WINTER

With the weather in Calgary being all sorts of unpredictable this year, I had originally planned to share this look with you earlier this autumn as the last installment in my Autumn Trend Guides. The intense cold snap we experienced a couple of weeks ago made shooting new style content outside almost impossible — but thankfully we experienced a few above 0℃ days earlier this week, so I jumped at the chance to get out there and snap a few photos. AUTUMN 2016 TREND GUIDE | NEW ROMANTIC

I’m so excited to share the first post in a of a series of AUTUMN 2016 TREND GUIDES here at JustineCelina, where I’m breaking down this seasons biggest trends and showing you how to wear them! I’ve mentioned previously that fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons and fashion in definitely one of them. There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to start anew and refresh my wardrobe to reflect current trends — so today I’m sharing a few of the updates I’ve made and how I like to style my new additions. SUMMER 2016 TREND HIGHLIGHTS

With August barely underway, many retailers are beginning to introduce fall inventory. Well I don’t know about you, but I’m not even close to being done with summer! Regardless of whether or not the sun is shining in Calgary (rain, rain, go away!), I’ve still been enjoying seasonal trends. Today, I’m sharing my Summer 2016 Trend Highlights and showing you how I’ve been wearing them — including bright whites, pompoms, off the shoulder tops, tassels, fringe, lace up details, frayed hem denim, 70’s revival and layered gold and natural stone jewellery! I’m also thrilled to be working with my favourite local jewellery designer Coutu Kitsch to share some of my favourite pieces from their SS16 El Verano Collection with you.
