MARCH 2019 SOUNDTRACK

Friends, welcome back for another Monthly Soundtrack! March was a very full month, brimming with tons of behind-the-scenes work — and my 2.5 hour March 2019 Soundtrack was pumping through the speakers the whole time! As the snow starts to melt, I find myself yearning for upbeat, uplifting, empowering music to ease the winter-to-spring transition — and I found so many incredible tracks this month to help me stay focused and inspired to continue working towards my goals. I also discovered Spotify’s Morning Motivation playlist and I’m convinced it made all those 5am starts more productive!

It’s difficult to choose favourites this month, but a few of my most played tracks include Golden Daze’s Blue Bell, Tove Styrke’s Sway, Glades Nervous Energy, Andrew Applepie’s Salted Caramel, Dominic Fike’s 3 Nights, WEALTHYSELF’s Million Dollar Mood, Sensi Sye’s Conscious, Blithe Field’s RD1, pronoun’s temporary tantrum, Shwayze’s Rich City, MorMor’s Outside, Wun Two’s Vio, filous’s All My Friends Are Rich, Joey Pecoraro’s Novice Juggler, Yumi Youma’s In Camera and SŸDE’s Above The Clouds. I hope you enjoy this eclectic, easy listening playlist as much as I do!

FEBRUARY 2019 SOUNDTRACK

The shortest (and coldest!) month of the year is drawing to a close — and that means it’s time for my February 2019 Soundtrack! This cozy, intimate, 43 track playlist makes perfect background music for the office, your daily commute, relaxing at home or entertaining. It’s an eclectic, upbeat, chill mixture of everything I’ve had on repeat for the past month spanning genres — with a heavy focus on instrumental with a free spirited, folk-y twist!

I discovered tons of new tracks during February (and new music from a few of my favourite artists!), but Beauvois’s Fall Back, Anna of the North’s Leaning on Myself, Brett’s Tenenbaum, Star Slinger’s Choose Yourself (like the modern day version of Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen for creatives — anyone else remember that song?!), Richard Houghten’s Wind Travel, Koresma’s Canyon Walls, Arms and Sleepers I Miss The Melody Of, Dermot’s Kennedy’s After Rain, Roo Pains Silver Moon, Rand Aldo’s Tomorrow Will Save Us, Airwaves You Gotta Keep Moving, Astron’s Astral Projection, alt-J’s Warm Foothills, Villager’s Nothing Arrived, Jay Wolf & Day Wave’s Your Way, EREZ’s Runnin, Tim Legend’s When The World Ended and RKCB’s Flowers for Vases were on heavy rotation. Cozy up in front of the fireplace with a delicious glass of red wine or your favourite herbal tea and indulge your ears in the sweet musical styling of February’s Monthly Soundtrack!

JANUARY 2019 SOUNDTRACK

Dry January is almost over — and that means I’m back with 2019’s first Monthly Soundtrack! While I’ll be very glad to indulge in a glass of wine on February 1st, abstaining from alcohol, getting back into my fitness regime, being more mindful with my time and taking a step back during the first 2 weeks of the month to get re-inspired, set intentions and plan for the for year has made for the most inspired and productive January I think I’ve ever had. I’m feeling so optimistic and excited to dive into 2019 — and this 3+ hour January 2019 Soundtrack fueled an absolutely fantastic month!

So, what tracks kept my motivation running at an all time high? The War On Drug’s Thinking of a Place will always remind me of our magical Canmore NYE getaway (I shared some highlights from our trip in this post) and I had tunes from The 1975, Phantastic Ferniture, Jordan Critz, Evolution of Stars, The American Dollar, Men I Trust, Aphex Twin, Lofive, Barrie, No Rome, Loyle Carner, Moon Moon Moon, KAWALA, flor, SOAK, ayokay, Bearson and Geographer on repeat. I hope you enjoy this lighthearted, eclectic playlist!

NOVEMBER 2018 SOUNDTRACK

It’s time for another Monthly Soundtrack — and I truly can’t believe the last month of autumn is coming to a close! My November 2018 Soundtrack is a mixture of super chill, upbeat, electronic and instrumental with a sprinkling of hip-hop — making for an easy-listening playlist, no matter what you’re in the mood for! This soundtrack is a bit longer than usual, featuring over 3 hours of my favourite fall tunes — I discovered so many new, inspiring artists this past month! I hope you enjoy them, too.

November’s standout tracks include Washed Out’s Chimes, Total Giovanni’s Human Animal (this track gives me major LCD Soundsystem vibes!), Nuages Lost, Mishega’s Home, Koan’s The Light of Sleeping Star, Blue Wednesday’s Sweet Berry Wine, Hiatus’s Youth, Social House & Lil Yatchy’s Magic in the Hamptons, Ryan Pulford’s Better Off Alone, Papadosio’s  Fanfare for the Rain People, Funkmammoth’s Sherwood Stroll, List’s Cut to Now, Anderson.Paak’s Sweet Chick (warning: very explicit but very catchy!) and Kurt Vile’s Life Like This. Wishing you all a happy holiday season as we head into December — I have so much exciting content I can’t wait to share!

OCTOBER 2018 SOUNDTRACK

Better late than never, right?! My October 2018 Soundtrack is the last regularly scheduled post I missed during my forced intermission — but I did want to get it out for you! As you’ve probably gathered, October was an extremely stressful month, but these are the tunes that kept me going! As always, this Monthly Soundtrack is a mashup of musical genres, artists and moods — 2.5 hours of everything my ears enjoyed most last month, with a healthy dose of calming instrumental. If you’re looking for some fresh, inspiring tunes to listen to while you work, think, create, get your sweat on, relax at home, hang out with friends or enjoy a long drive, this soundtrack is for you!

Some of my most played tracks during October included The Echelon Effect’s Your First Light My Eventide, Bon Vie’s Entirety, Tracey Chattaway’s Light The Night, Kiiara’s Gloe, Equanimous’s Forest, Dreamer’s Delight’s Starborne, Attom’s Golden Hour, Middle Kids Salt Eyes, Only Evening’s Emily and Blackbird Blackbird’s B There 2 Hold You. I hope you enjoy one of the more chill playlists I’ve published here at JustineCelina over the years and that it brings your some peace and tranquility during these busy, pre-holiday times!

SEPTEMBER 2018 SOUNDTRACK

Okay seriously, how is it the end of September?! 2018 is just flying by! September was a jam packed month, but we did manage to sneak in a few outdoor adventures — including a trip to Jasper to relax and decompress for the long weekend before our busy season kicked off (I honestly haven’t even had a chance to go through most of my photos!), as well as a trip to the Bowden Sunmaze to catch a field of sunflowers in full bloom before the frost set in. It was absolutely beautiful and highly worth the trip if you’re planning to go next summer (they’re now closed for the season). My September 2018 Soundtrack saw me through it all — and as usual, it’s a mash up of musical genres, styles, lyrics and artists with a healthy dose of chill and instrumental (plus some explicit hip hop throw in for good measure!). This 2 and a half hour playlist makes for an easy listening, feel good option no matter what you’re up to!

Some of my musical highlights this month include Tabrill & Emily’s Lossless, Hirola’s Melaie, HDBeenDope’s For the Record, Arms & Sleepers Down, Tom Hilcock & Nicolas Boscovic’s Golden Halo, Andrew Applepie’s Hong Kong Bedtime, Young the Giant’s Superposition, Royal Yellow’s Hazeldene, a beautifully stripped down rendition of The Naked and Famous’s Young Blood, Dizzy’s Pretty Thing, Alex Cruz & Brascon’s remix of Magical Cloudz’s Downtown, Lycoriscoris’s Her and Of Water’s Materializing. Happy listening, beautiful people!
