DARK CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY ENERGY BITES

I believe that if you’re going to treat yourself, you can nourish yourself at the same time — so this year I’m putting a whole food spin on traditional holiday sweets. These are my kind of treats — the ones you feel really good about indulging in (sometimes I even have them with my morning coffee!). Next time you’re looking for a quick, no-bake, holiday party treat, try my Dark Chocolate Raspberry Energy Bites! They’re a healthier alternative to traditional holiday truffles or rich, chocolate-based desserts. They’re also vegan and free of gluten and refined sugar — perfect for parties where guests have food sensitivities and allergies. You can whip these festive little bites up in just 10 minutes, and keep them on-hand for last-minute guests, holiday gatherings, or all for yourself!

DIY | WILDFLOWER BUNDLES

Today I’m showing you how I made these little Wildflower Bundles for a summer dinner party! I was inspired by these Wildflower Bundles from Free People, and thought they would make a cute idea for a summer tablescape, on top of the napkins at each place setting. It’s such a simple but special touch, and guests like to take them home and dry them. You can make these with whatever wildflowers and shrubs you have in your own yard, all you need is some scissors and twine.

TOASTED TRAIL MIX

Last weekend we were getting ready to go for a hike at Lake Louise and I decided (last minute, of course!) to make some trail mix for the road. It turned out to be really delicious (even the chipmunks liked it!), so today I’m sharing the recipe with you. My Toasted Trail Mix is more like a mixture of trail mix and granola — it’s full of awesome, nourishing, all-natural ingredients, and brimming with antioxidants to help fuel your day. It gets nice and toasty in the oven, and the toasted flavour is complimented by a bit of maple syrup, cinnamon, and a dash of cayenne powder for that little bit extra! I also like to enjoy this trail mix on top fruit parfaits and smoothie bowls to kick my breakfast up a notch — it’s a versatile recipe that I love having in my kitchen.

A splash of lemon makes this smoothie bright and refreshing, plus it’s loaded with antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients. SUPER C HIBISCUS BERRY SMOOTHIE

To kick things off here at JustineCelina, I thought I would share a recipe for one of my most popular Instagram photos. I came up this this recipe during an intense flowering hibiscus tea drinking phase earlier this winter. Hibiscus tea always reminds me of the time I’ve spent in Huatulco Mexico, where hibiscus flowers grow wild. I’m transported back to that place every time I take a sip! In Mexico, the dried hibiscus flowers used to make this tea are known as “Jamaica” (pronounced hah-mike-ah). My Super C Hibiscus Berry Smoothie is inspired by an Agua de Jamaica drink I enjoyed during my last trip.
