AUTUMN ENERGIZER JUICE

You guys, these are some busy times. I’m definitely no stranger to hard work — but without a doubt, these last few months have been the busiest of our lives. And while I’m grateful for the work and opportunities, there’s really only so long you can burn the candle at both ends before things start to fall apart, health wise. After awhile, there’s a point when coffee and tea can no longer help me and what I really need is sleep. At times like these I find myself turning to fresh juice to give myself an extra immunity boost!

Despite my busy schedule, I pride myself on being a healthy person and taking the best care of myself that I can through diet and exercise. Thankfully, I rarely get sick. So when I woke up on Friday feeling run down with a little tickle in my throat, I knew I had to get handle on it! It’s Sunday and I feel much better now — but this past week I came up with a new fresh juice recipe that I wanted to share with you. My Autumn Energizer Juice combines traditional autumn produce with unconventional ingredients — resulting in sweet, creamy, energizing juice with a spicy, warming kick! Power through busy times with an offbeat fresh juice recipe that includes both sweet potato and cape gooseberries. It’s just what the doctor ordered!

I’ve mentioned previously that fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons and fashion in definitely one of them. There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to start anew and refresh my wardrobe to reflect current trends — so today I’m sharing a few of the updates I’ve made and how I like to style my new additions. The leaves are turning, the air is crisp and fall is just around the corner — who’s ready to learn about autumn flowers? Can you believe it’s already September 1st? It seems like summer is just flying by this year. Having said that, I’m looking forward to welcoming fall later this month! I’m also very excited to share autumn themed flower content in partnership with Rebecca Dawn Design with you over the coming months — seriously you guys, I can’t wait to publish it!

To kick off the first month of a new season, September’s DIGITAL BLOOMS incorporate some of late summer and early autumn’s prettiest flowers and foliage. Our 3 flower-based designs are inspired by the wild beauty of Indian summers and a palette of eggplant, terracotta, marsala, apricot, blush, cream and fresh greens. We’re also introducing to some brand new seasonal blooms into this series — including Stock, Eremurus, Dalihas, Astilbe, Chrysanthemums, Thlaspi and Cotinus. Rebecca and I have an educational post all about early autumn flowers hitting JustineCelina later this month, but for now you can enjoy them on the background of your computer, tablet or phone — absolutely free!
