MY TOP 5 PUMPKIN SPICE LIPSTICKS

Fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons — but something I look forward to each year is pulling out all my favourite warm, cozy lip colours (and trying a few new ones!) to mark the change in seasons. Last autumn as I was organizing my vanity for the season, I noticed a major theme — all of my most-worn autumn lip colours had a very similar, pumpkin spice inspired colour story (yes, I actually began working on My Top 5 Pumpkin Spice Lipsticks post last fall!). Although I may be the only woman on the planet who isn’t into Pumpkin Spice Lattes (shocking, I know!), I can definitely appreciate the inspiration behind this quintessentially autumnal beverage. So naturally, I thought this concept would make a fantastic addition to my seasonal BEAUTY content here at JustineCelina! I absolutely love to embrace each season as fully as possible — whether it be in my personal style, beauty routine, home or what I choose to nourish my body with. While a lot has changed in 2020, my love of fall beauty remains — and although I’m not wearing as much makeup as I did pre-pandemic (or getting glammed up nearly as often), I still love to treat myself to a beautiful, seasonal makeup application for an instant confidence boost. DIGITAL BLOOMS NOVEMBER 2020 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER

How is November already upon us?! 2020 has simultaneously felt like the longest and shortest year of my life (as I’m sure many of you can relate!) — but, as always, I’m thrilled to usher in a fresh new month with a beautiful, seasonally-inspired floral wallpaper! November 2020’s Digital Blooms celebrates the height of autumn on the Alberta prairies with an unconventional melange of locally grown and foraged flowers, wild grasses, fall foliage and berries gathered from my flower-picking adventures at Bowden SunMaze & Eagle Creek Farms and our country property. Thanks to our warm, extended autumn this year we were treated to the most magnificent and colourful landscape transformation I’ve ever witnessed — and I discovered so many plants, berries and grasses I had no idea were growing wild on our acreage!

TRANSITIONAL SUMMER MEETS AUTUMN DECOR

Interior design lovers, I’m thrilled to welcome you back into our sun drenched Living Room for my first dedicated DWELL post of the year! So what exactly have I been up to around here? Well, to be completely transparent, all the brand partnerships I had lined up for our SPACE REFRESH series this year were postponed (some indefinitely) due to COVID. I had so many plans for our remaining rooms, along with updates to spaces you’ve already seen, but due to the current situation, they simply haven’t been possible. Instead, I’ve been focusing on making small tweaks and seasonal updates to already finished spaces so that we can fully enjoy them with all the extra time we’ve spent at home! I’m allowing things to come together naturally, ideas to ebb and flow organically and working away on our home when I feel inspired to do so — because if this pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that life doesn’t always go according to plan. Lately I’ve been cozying things up for autumn, picking up a few new key pieces and restyling items we already own in new ways, so I thought it was about time I share our Transitional Summer Meets Autumn Decor with you here at JustineCelina, if you’re doing the same and looking for inspiration!

This year we’ve opted to keep things lighter and brighter as we transition into a new season — and it feels like a perfect blend of summer and fall. It’s the magical time of year where we can enjoy the best of both summer and autumn out in nature, in our homes, on our plates and in our wardrobes — and I’m fully embracing it! EARLY AUTUMN 2020 LOOKBOOK + COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Friends and fashionistas, I’m thrilled to bring some structure and familiarity back to my STYLE content today with this 6 outfit, Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook — my first since April! While 2020 has thrown all semblance of order and routine for a loop, one thing that remains is my love of fall fashion. Each autumn I go into content creation overdrive creating and capturing things that inspire me! And despite life looking quite a bit different than it did this time last year, I was determined to not let COVID put a damper on my personal style. Regardless of the pandemic, dressing up and dressing well allows me to present the best, most confident and truest version of myself to the world — and I simply refused to let my stilettos collect dust for another season! Those of you who’ve been with me for awhile here at JustineCelina will know I theme my content seasonally, as I’m always looking to nature for inspiration — taking cues from the changing landscape to inform both my creative work and my personal style. It felt incredible to reignite my passion for pulling together looks, capturing them beautiful settings and curating them into one my signature, seasonal LOOKBOOKS!

This year we’ve been fortunate to enjoy the warmest fall I can remember — and we shot more seasonal style content than ever before against the backdrop of our beautiful Alberta landscape. We also captured images in both country and city locations (complete with an introduction to my top face mask recommendations and accompanying Community Guidelines), so my Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook features sartorial inspiration for variety of settings! That said, no matter the setting, my wardrobe has become more casual, comfortable and practical than ever this year — and it’s a very welcome shift. Good morning, flower friends! I’m thrilled to bring you October 2020’s Free Floral Wallpaper today — featuring an entirely local selection of flowers, wild grasses and foraged prairie foliage in celebration of harvest season. Last month you read all about our trip to Bowden SunMaze & Eagle Creek Farms where I handpicked the flowers you’ll see in my Autumn 2020 Digital Blooms here at JustineCelina — and I couldn’t be more excited to begin sharing them with you! My first u-pick flower experience was absolutely magical and I had so much fun strolling up and down the rows, clippers in hand, curating ingredients for my upcoming FLOWER content. That weekend, I foraged our country property for wild additions as the fall colours were just starting to trickle in to the landscape — and I came home with a bucket full of wild grasses, berries and early autumn foliage to play with. I also spent the weekend painting some new custom backdrops in a palette inspired by the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 Colour Trend Report, which you’ll see in my content moving forward — starting with October 2020’s Digital Blooms!

AUGUST 2O2O SOUNDTRACK

As the final full month of summer comes to a close, I’m thrilled to bring you another MONTHLY SOUNTRACK! My August 2020 Soundtrack features a mash up of 60 tracks spanning genres from ultra chill instrumental to explicit hip-hop — an eclectic melange of tunes that have been pumping through my speakers all month long. I’ve been spending my days making the most of all this beautiful season has to offer while working away on lots of exciting projects and upcoming content (including a seasonally inspired SPACE REFRESH, which you can catch a glimpse of in this month’s album cover!) that I can’t wait to share with you as we transition into autumn. This nearly 4 hours playlist has been integral in keeping my ears (and mind) entertained and inspired this month as I putter away on various creative pursuits and enjoy the great outdoors!
