DIGITAL BLOOMS SEPTEMBER 2019 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER

With the promise of changing leaves dancing on the late-summer breeze, I’m back with a fresh instalment of DIGITAL BLOOMS to welcome my favourite month of the year! I love September because it combines the best of summer and autumn — and I’ve channeled that transitional inspiration into this month’s free tech wallpaper. Last weekend we popped over to a local farmer’s market where some incredibly lovely bouquets of sunflowers were on display and I couldn’t resist picking one up to share with all of you! The best part? Everything featured in September 2019’s Digital Blooms is organic, biodynamic, growing here in Alberta right now! I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate the season.

September’s DIGITAL BLOOMS are heavily inspired by the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 Fashion Colour Trend Report featuring warm, transitional hues of Chili Pepper, Biking Red, Rocky Road, Sugar Almond and Dark Cheddar set on a moody Bluestone backdrop. Unique Chianti and Little Becka Sunflowers are complimented by Rudbeckia, Strawflower, wild Firewheels and Barberry leaves in free desktop wallpaper that’s equal parts sunny and dramatic — just like the first month of autumn. MIDSUMMER SPACE REFRESH UPDATE

Interior design loving friends, welcome back for a long overdue SPACE REFRESH update! If you read my 2018 Review + 2019 Goals post, you’ll know that I had planned to have the next rooms in the series completed by now — but due to some unforeseen delays and unexpected (but necessary!) repairs, things have been pushed back. I realized last week that I’ve been pretty good about updating you about what’s going on on my socials, but the majority of you don’t follow me there, so I wanted to publish an all-encompassing Midsummer Space Refresh Update here at JustineCelina to bring you up to speed!

Overall, even though the next rooms in our have taken longer than expected due to some furniture delays, I’m very happy with the way things are coming together. Originally I was planning to have both the Entrance Way and Main Bathroom complete by the end of Q2, but due to a couple of furniture items being back ordered until the end of September, I’m now planning to have both of those spaces finished this fall. Instead, I’ve used the extra time to source finishing details to really elevate both rooms and make them super functional! It’s actually been a welcome change of pace to take things a bit slower around here, enjoy the summer, and not be working on the apartment every single weekend. DIGITAL BLOOMS JUNE 2019 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER

Peony season is upon us once again — and this month at JustineCelina I’m celebrating one of my favourite flowers in all of their beautiful simplicity for June 2019’s DIGITAL BLOOMS! It looks like warmer weather is finally here to stay and Peonies have started to pop up in local flower markets and grocery stores (if you’re here in Calgary, be sure to stop into a Safeway to score Peonies at an incredible price!). The flower pictured in June 2019 Free Desktop Wallpaper actually came from my Mom’s country garden where I captured this design, inspired by sweet summer blooms dancing on the warm breeze!

My obsession with the Pantone’s SS19 Fashion Colour Trend Report continues this month (you’ll be hearing more about it in my upcoming SS19 Lookbook, dropping soon!) and I’m particularly intrigued by Sweet Lilac paired up with Pepper Stem. DIY | MODERN DRIFTWOOD MACRAME WALL HANGING

I’m riding that just-back-from-vacation-and-feeling-so-inspired wave and coming at you today with a fresh, completely impromptu DIY post! During our recent getaway, our Kootenay cabin was perched on the most beautiful beach with troves of driftwood washed up on shore — and I finally found the perfect piece to complete the large macrame wall hanging I’ve been planning since winter! Immediately after arriving home on Saturday, I got to work on this Modern Driftwood Macrame Wall Hanging, modelling it after the original I created for our refreshed Living Room (which has become one of my most popular DIYs!). Since I was enjoying a little staycation last weekend (I didn’t open my computer or socials for one whole week and it was just what I needed!) I wasn’t actually planning to share this post here at JustineCelina, but after snapping a few process photos over on Insta Stories I was flooded with DMs and questions about how exactly I made it. And here we are!

You may be surprised to learn this oversized macrame wall hanging is actually quite a simple and inexpensive project. The materials to create this 7′ x 3.5′ modern wall hanging cost a whopping $66 and it took me a few hours from start to finish, including installation. If you’re curious about how I pulled it off, you’re in luck — this post contains step-by-step, visual instructions showing you exactly how I made this bohemian beauty! SPRING 2019 TREND GUIDE | MODERN WESTERN

Friends and fashionistas, welcome back for my second Spring 2019 TREND GUIDE! I felt like a total badass in this outfit — a cool, casual, trend-focused look that’s a complete departure from my last style post which encapsulated how to wear spring trends at the office (what can I say, I’m all about experimenting with your personal style, no matter the setting!). WORK WEAR | SPRING 2019 TRENDS AT THE OFFICE

Fellow boss babes, this one’s for you! Over the years, more office-appropriate FASHION content has been highly requested here at JustineCelina — but since I don’t have a photographer on hand to follow me around to meetings, presentations and the like (#bloggerproblems!), the more professional side of my wardrobe isn’t something I’ve been able to bring to these pages in a meaningful way — that is, until now. Rebecca Dawn Design and I are celebrating DIGITAL BLOOMS 3rd Birthday today with this ultra sweet, feminine design inspired by the shifting seasons and gorgeous springtime blooms! This series started as a fun, collaborative idea between friends to showcase seasonal flowers alongside colour trends in a unique and interesting way — and we never could have predicted its success.
