MARCH BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Welcome back, beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my March Beauty Favourites — where I gravitated towards cooler, purple tones on the eyes, pastel nails, luminous skin and peachy lips. Inside, you’ll find a stunning eyeshadow palette that’s especially flattering on green eyes, a great serum foundation for under $20, a blush that gives you a pretty spring flush, a natural looking, luminous bronzer, my favourite periwinkle nail polish and a pretty, cool-toned rose gold eyeliner.

I also chat a bit about gel polish at home (hey — I like to DIY it when I can!) and colour theory in beauty. If you didn’t know, I went to art school so that definitely translates into my beauty obsession — to me, makeup is an art form and just another way to express myself. I also mention my favourite peach lip, which has been on major repeat this month and I think would suit just about anyone. HOW TO STYLE | WINTER PASTELS

I’m totally obsessed with winter pastels! I’ve been going lighter, brighter and fresher in my wardrobe and personal style this winter — did you notice JustineCelina‘s mini makeover? My love for all things pastel was solidified by the Pantone 2016 Colour of the Year Announcement (check out my inspiration post for some colour trend eye candy), so today I’m sharing a pastel-themed fashion post with you! 6 MARSALA LIPSTICKS TO TRY THIS FALL

I’ve followed Pantone for colour inspiration my entire career. If you have no idea what I’m talking about — Pantone is the global colour authority for creative industries. They provide a colour system that ensures colour translates accurately across all mediums — whether it be in fashion, print, or in design. Creatives also look to them to predict colour trends. Basically, they know what’s up — and they keep everyone in the loop!

Every year, usually in early December, they announce their colour of the year — and for 2015 it’s Marsala! Marsala has a variety of shades and interpretations, all equally gorgeous. Pantone describes Marsala as ‘a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embrace warmth’ and ‘like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness’. Pantone also cites is as ‘flattering against many skin tones, sultry and subtle Marsala is a great go-to color for beauty’. I couldn’t agree more! Marsala lips are everywhere this fall, so today I’m sharing my six favourite Marsala lipsticks in a variety of shades, finishes and price points.
