Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for my third AW17 TREND GUIDE and final set of photos we shot in the Alberta Badlands — this time, at dusk! Tonight I’m thrilled to share a bit of an edgier look than you’re typically used to seeing here at JustineCeina, but as I mentioned, I’ve been totally reinspired fashion wise this autumn and really experimenting with my personal style (and having tons of fun in the process!). It was also a lot of fun to experiment with different lighting conditions — since we shot this look in the last 15 minutes before the sunset, these photos have a bit of a moodier vibe to them. I think it suits the outfit perfectly!
Tonight I’m Falling for Floralsall over again and styling a selection of seasonal trends through fresh eyes — including autumn / winter florals, soft leather, velvet, faux fur, circular shades and red. If you’re looking to elevate your personal style or refresh some wardrobe staples as we transition into winter, this post is for you! Tonight I’m wearing a both old and new favourites — this is a look I’ve worn quite a few times this season and received tons of questions about. If you’ve always wanted to explore moody florals, find your perfect (faux) leather jacket or red lip and aren’t sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place! Pour yourself a delicious glass of vino (or fix yourself big mug of herbal tea!) and get cozy for an in depth style chat, complete with tons of shoppable links and alternatives for every price point and body type (would you believe my dress is under $30?!).
Autumn is in full swing here in Calgary — have you started to transition your decor along with the seasons? If you’re anything like me, as you transition your wardrobe into fall to reflect our changing landscape and cooler temperatures, you also crave that same change in your home. Although I think it’s important to keep things fresh and be inspired by your environment (especially as a creative or someone who works from home), it’s certainly not practical to be shopping for entirely new decor with every season change! Today’s post is dedicated to simple, inexpensive ideas you can implement in your own home to Transition Your Decor Into Fall — all while drawing inspiration from fresh sources (hint: I’ll be referencing the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 Fashion Colour Trend Report!) and making use of what you already own.
I started slowly collecting inspiration for our Fall Living Room Update and bringing autumn into our home in mid September. The weather had started to shift and the trees had started to yellow — and I was in full on fall planning mode (I even created a Pinterest board!). But the timing I had in mind didn’t work out as planned — I had to park the Living Room update to finish up our Entrance Way (this next instalment in our SPACE REFRESH series will be publishing on Monday!) — and this is where we’ve ended up. But rather than waiting to publish our Fall Living Room Update in one big reveal, I’ve decided to share our decor in transition to show you that you don’t have to make drastic changes (or spend a lot!) to make a big impact. If you’re searching for some cozy, autumnal decor inspiration this weekend, fix yourself a chai latte (or perhaps a glass of scotch?) and come curl up in my Living Room for all my best transitional decorating tips!
With Autumn Equinox behind us and my favourite month of the year coming to a close, I’m back today with a bonus, 6 outfit, Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook! If you’ve been following along with my style content this year, you’ll know I committed to producing one, 12 outfit seasonal LOOKBOOK here at JustineCelina in 2019. That said, since fall (and this gorgeous month when summer turns to fall!) is the season I feel most inspired FASHION wise, I created this mini transitional lookbook to celebrate the sartorial nuances I adore when blending the best of both seasons!
It’s the magical time of year when we can wear boots with bare legs, espadrilles with chunky knits, felt hats with chiffon, embroidery with corduroy and velvet with florals — and I’m fully embracing it! If you’re ready for a healthy dose of fall fashion and seasonal colour trends but not quite ready to retire your favourite summer pieces, you’ve come to the right place! My Transitional Summer to Fall 2019 Lookbook features everything I’ve been wearing in both personal and professional settings this month — complete with tons of transitional styling advice and shoppable links at every price point, set against a gorgeous backdrop of our changing inner-city Calgary landscape.
Happy first weekend of… fall?! Somehow, we skipped autumn entirely this week and went straight from almost 30°C weather to snow and frigid, negative temperatures. As we’ve established, autumn is my favourite time of year, but this week I was forced to bust out my cold weather pieces — I hadn’t even finished getting my fall wardrobe together, yet wintery conditions were upon us. It was time to get creative (and warm!) and make the most of my existing wardrobe — but the good news is that our drastic weather shift here in Calgary inspired today’s post all about refreshing old favourites for a new season! Absolutely everything I’m wearing today is something I’ve owned for several months or years — and you’ve also seen most of these pieces here at JustineCelina previously.
Although I love to shop just as much as the next girl (and now it’s even become part of the way I earn a living!), I think there’s something to be said for learning how to make the most of your existing wardrobe when the seasons change and looking to new sources of inspiration to inform your sartorial choices. That’s exactly what I did for today’s look — I can’t wait to share how I styled these well loved wardrobe staples through fresh eyes for Autumn 2017 to reflect current seasonal trends! If you’re looking to maximize your existing wardrobe this season, get cozy with me tonight as I pull out my coats, sweater dresses, OTK boots, velvet accessories, fall florals and autumnal lip colours!
As someone who firmly believes they were born in the wrong decade, I’m thrilled to bring you my second AUTUMN 2017 TREND GUIDE dedicated to my love (obsession?) of 70’s inspired style! I’ve been having so much fun with fashion this season — and although I have been shopping for new items, I’ve also really been challenging myself to make the most of my existing wardrobe, get creative and revive old pieces. Today’s TREND GUIDE features a healthy mixture of old and new — unified by an eye for seasonal colour trends (why yes, I drew inspiration from the PANTONE Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report!).
Adventure to the picturesque Red Deer River valley in the heart of the wild, wild west with me today as I chat about a handful of my favourite 70’s inspired Autumn 2017 trends — including teddy bear coats, vintage fall florals, statement boots, boho (faux) leather accessories and warm toned, autumnal makeup. This TREND GUIDE also features tons of shoppable links at every price point, along with strategies for integrating seasonal trends into your your personal style and making them your own! I’m wearing a mixture of investment and affordable pieces today and have included a few tips about about how to decide what’s worth the splurge and when to save your cash, or wait for a sale. Oh, and I’m finally introducing you to my favourite vegan leather handbag brand after discovering them this summer (did I mention my bag is currently on sale for under $20?)!
