CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER AT THE FAIRMONT JASPER PARK LODGE

We’re home from Christmas in November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and tonight I’m recapping our experience! What is Christmas in November, you ask? Basically, it’s a giant meeting of people who love all the same things I love — great food, wine, entertainment and seasonal inspiration. This past weekend we cooked with celebrity chefs, learned about holiday decor from industry experts, came away with tons of culinary inspiration and tasted wine from all over the world. Sounds like a good time, right? Now, imagine that experience set in a charming, rustic lodge, overlooking a serene mountain lake in a picturesque National Park. That, my friends, is what Christmas in November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is all about! I’m sharing every detail of our trip — including the accommodations, the food, and drink, the lodge, the spa, the setting, the sessions, the after parties, who we met and what I wore! I’ve mentioned previously that fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons and fashion in definitely one of them. There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to start anew and refresh my wardrobe to reflect current trends — so today I’m sharing a few of the updates I’ve made and how I like to style my new additions. PRE FALL TRANSITIONAL STYLE

I, along with almost every other woman on the planet, will tell you that fall is my favourite time of year, especially for fashion. But September specifically is my favourite month — well, for almost everything (except Pumpkin Spice Lattes… I may be the only woman on the planet who’s not a fan of those!). It’s nice enough outside that we don’t have to be totally bundled up, but cooler temperatures call for more autumnal, layered style. It’s the perfect opportunity to maximize wear time on your favourite summer pieces, but also to begin playing with autumn fashion. So, today’s post a fall-inspired outfit with wear now appeal — a summer-meets-autumn mashup that we only get to wear for a brief window of time here in Calgary! SUMMER 2016 TREND HIGHLIGHTS

With August barely underway, many retailers are beginning to introduce fall inventory. Well I don’t know about you, but I’m not even close to being done with summer! Regardless of whether or not the sun is shining in Calgary (rain, rain, go away!), I’ve still been enjoying seasonal trends. Today, I’m sharing my Summer 2016 Trend Highlights and showing you how I’ve been wearing them — including bright whites, pompoms, off the shoulder tops, tassels, fringe, lace up details, frayed hem denim, 70’s revival and layered gold and natural stone jewellery! I’m also thrilled to be working with my favourite local jewellery designer Coutu Kitsch to share some of my favourite pieces from their SS16 El Verano Collection with you.

Welcome back for another installment of my Monthly Beauty Favourites posts! Today I’m chatting summer beauty and sharing some of my favourite liquid lipsticks, lip liners, a new brow pencil, a gorgeous baked bronzer, a stunning ombre blush, and my all-time favourite eyeshadow to complete bronze and gold looks.

I placed a Colourpop order in May to test out some of their newer launches, so most of my favourites today are from Colourpop — one of my favourite affordable makeup brands. I also tried some products from the Lise Watier limited edition Summer 2016 Escale Collection and found a great bronzer for the summer! GREY DAYS

We’ve been having quite a few grey, rainy days lately. So, I thought I’d embrace it and show you what I wear on a more casual day when I still want to look cute and pulled together! On cooler spring days I like to feel cozy but also wear lighter colours and layers to keep things fresh and seasonally appropriate. I pretty much live in great basics like skinny jeans, cute flats, classic v-necks and oversized cardigans when I’m keeping things casual. Sometimes I also give my eyes a break from contacts and wear glasses. I picked up a couple of new frames recently, so I thought I’d show you how I style them on a casual day! I also chat about my go-to natural makeup look — it’s perfect for glasses.
