DIGITAL BLOOMS SEPTEMBER 2018 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

Hello, September! Eager to embrace autumn’s arrival later this month while fully enjoying the last days of summer, Rebecca Dawn Design and I have blended the best of both seasons in this month’s Free Tech Wallpapers! September’s DIGITAL BLOOMS are heavily inspired by the Pantone Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report (expect to hear a lot more about it here at JustineCelina over the next few months), arranged with a whimsical touch. Working with a rich transitional palette of Red Pear, Ultra Violet, Russet Orange, Limelight, Sargasso Sea, Tofu and Quiet Grey, we created 3 floral designs that bridge the gap between my two favourite seasons beautifully!

WHAT TO WEAR TO | A HORSE RACE

Welcome back, friends and fashionistas! Today I’ve teamed up with Saks OFF 5TH to bring you a fresh post in my WHAT TO WEAR TO series dedicated to Horse Races — and to announce the Grand Opening of their second location at CF Market Mall! Earlier this summer we had the pleasure of attending Packwood Grand and to be honest, the sartorial aspect of the race excited me much more than the main event! Longtime readers will know I love any excuse to dress up and dress well (which is part of the reason I created my WHAT TO WEAR TO series in the first place!), so I took this unique event as an opportunity to deep dive into horse race appropriate attire and put my own unique spin on the dress code! After hunting for the perfect gingham dress for what seemed like an eternity, low and behold, I found it on Saks OFF 5TH‘s Calvin Klein rack — at just over 50% off, ringing in at $74.99! I’ve always been a fan of gingham and although it’s very on trend at the moment, it’s also a timeless print that lends itself to more traditional occasions and settings. So, I styled my darling Calvin Klein Gingham Wrap Dress up for the races — and today, you’re coming along! TRANSITIONAL SHOE GUIDE | SUMMER TO AUTUMN 2018

Shoe lovers, I’m elated to bring you the first 2018 installment of my SHOE GUIDE series! It’s been a little while since my last blog post — I took a step back to brainstorm, get re-inspired and shoot tons of new style content (you may have seen it trickling onto Instagram over the past few weeks!). WHAT TO WEAR TO | A GARDEN PARTY

Welcome back for a fresh installment in my WHAT TO WEAR TO series — where I select a seasonal occasion you may not be sure what to wear to and bring you my take on it! Believe it or not, this summer we don’t actually have any weddings (and after attending 7 last year, I’m okay with that!), but we do have quite a few garden parties and outdoor daytime events in the calendar. Although the term ‘Garden Party‘ is more widely used in the UK then it is here in Canada, we’re actually attended our fair share of garden parties (defined simply as an afternoon event held outdoors on a lawn or in a garden) over the past few years — and no one ever seems to know what the dress code is! Naturally, I thought the topic would make a great blog post — and I had just the perfect dress and location in mind to bring it to life!

I hope you’re not getting sick of seeing me in breezy floral dresses this summer, because 3rd Floor Studio‘s stunning Ingrid dress is the star of the show today! In fact, chances are if we’ve hung out IRL lately I’ve probably been wearing this dress — and this bag! While the idea of wearing florals to a garden party isn’t exactly groundbreaking, I think it’s the perfect opportunity to take your favourite LFD’s (little floral dresses!) out for a spin and have some fun styling them up with more casual, daytime accessories. Today I’m demystifying Garden Party attire and sharing versatile styling options to suit every body type, occasion and venue! COLOUR CRUSH | RED

Do you have a power colour? I’m beginning to think mine is red. Oddly enough, it’s not a hue I’ve worn often over the past 4ish years since rocking my natural hair colour. Back in my (much) younger, platinum blonde days (yes, really — in fact, I’ve had almost every single hair colour except jet black!) red was one of my favourite colours to wear! This year, I’ve been increasingly drawn to red and have incorporated more of this statement shade into my personal style. Fast forward to SS18 and red is everywhere — a classic colour that demands attention, instills confidence and couldn’t be more suited to our scorching summer climate. I’ve always believed that red lips give you superpowers, so just imagine what wearing red-to-toe (ie: wearing red, head to toe) can do for you!

Today’s post is a fresh installment in my COLOUR CRUSH series and my take on a summery, red-to-toe look — along with a crash course on colour theory to help you find your perfect shade of red and master on-trend, monochromatic dressing. The best part? Once you’ve learned the basics, you can apply these tips to any colour or shade if red isn’t your thing! No matter what colour you chose, monochromatic looks are always slimming and sophisticated — and although this bold look was a bit outside of my comfort zone, I’m so glad I went for it! DIGITAL BLOOMS JULY 2018 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

We’re officially half way through 2018 (say what?!) and today Rebecca Dawn Design and I are marking the occasion with a Pantone 2018 Colour of the Year inspired set of Free Tech Wallpapers! You may remember the Ultra Violet Inspired Arrangement we created this past winter to explore Pantone’s selection for 2018, but we also wanted to do something summery, festive and fun. July 2018’s Digital Blooms actually feature a lovely selection of blooms and foliage we found in Rebecca’s garden! Despite the planning that goes into creating cohesive colour stories here at JustineCelina, allowing the seasons and our surroundings to inspire our FLOWER content is one of my favourite things — and it just goes to show you that beauty can be found (and created) almost anywhere. July’s DIGITAL BLOOMS go to show that foraged flowers are just as lovely as store bought blooms (remember that Foraged Prairie Wildflower Bouquet we created a couple of summers ago?!).

Longtime readers will know how passionate I am about fully embracing the unique sartorial opportunities the Stampede provides. Growing up on the Alberta prairies, I’ve seen my fair share of western wear over the years and it has undoubtedly shaped my personal style. I’m all about looking the part and dressing your best for any occasion — the Calgary Stampede included! These wild 10 days are packed full of incredible networking opportunities, endless parties, fanfare, live entertainment and world-class culinary experiences — and each year, I curate a few western inspired outfits with a modern, bohemian sensibility to carry me though in style. This year I’ve swapped my vintage turquoise for gold accents, my fringe bag for this blush pink beauty, my vintage cowboy boots for my favourite pair of OTK western boots and my undone braids for a flat brimmed hat, but one thing remains — the quintessential little white dress!
