TROPICAL PINEAPPLE TURMERIC COOLER

My Tropical Pineapple Turmeric Cooler is a blend of sweet pineapple, powerhouse carrot, hydrating watermelon, spicy ginger and healing turmeric, rounded out with a bright splash of lemon. I've been enjoying it lately post-morning workout, but it's a versatile recipe that can be enjoyed anytime of the day or night when you need a fresh, sunny pick-me-up! The invigorating ingredient deck always gives me tons of energy to fuel the rest of my morning and it also aids in digestion. Whip up a batch in the A.M. for a tropical kick-start, or enjoy it with a little Caribbean rum on a hot summer night (go on, put some rum in your fresh juice -- I'm not gonna judge you!). Cheers to a happy, healthy summer!

Ingredients

  • 1 mini watermelon
  • 1 pineapple
  • 5 medium carrots
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 " piece of fresh ginger
  • 2 " piece of fresh turmeric

Instructions

  1. Start with chilled produce. Chop all ingredients into 1″ pieces.
  2. Add ingredients one at a time to your Hurom Slow Juicer (or similar), starting with an ingredient that isn’t as juicy (like ginger), and alternating with an ingredient that makes lots of juice (like pineapple). This will ensure that the juicy ingredients flush the not-so-juicy ingredients through the juicer and you’ll get more of them in your cup!
  3. Once you’ve juiced all of your ingredients, stir the juice and pour over ice.
  4. Add a fun garnish of your choice and enjoy -- I used some pineapple leaves (just pluck them from the centre of the pineapple) and tropical umbrellas!

Recipe Notes

You can freeze this juice to make your own popsicles, too!
